It's 2. When you wear a tie, you don't tie it up right under your chin, you tie it at the base of your neck.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@sh.itjust.works 63 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This is the correct answer and anyone thinking it's 1, is simply wrong.

[–] Alpacalypse@crazypeople.online 15 points 1 week ago (2 children)

That's exactly what a velociraptor would want you to think.....

I'm not, I swear! Nervous ~~veloci~~ human screeches

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Luckily for us, they're Absolutely Not A Velociraptor

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 59 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Does anybody not think it's #2? Seems quite obvious to me.

A more interesting question is how a turtle-neck would look.

[–] xkbx@startrek.website 11 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I think it would be better to ask, where does a snake wear a tie?

My neck has a clear end, and the purpose of a tie is to (arguably, I’m just guessing here) tie off the collar of your shirt, what kind of shirt would a snake wear? The tie for humans is arguably more related to our body shape than neck components, so you can’t even say relative to a comparable organ or bone. So where does a snake wear a tie?

The answer was in my childhood the entire time

Every now and then a snake hatches with one or more legs, so just above the shoulders... You could probably count vertibrae or something like that.

I think a turtle neck would be up at location #1, as they generally come up to a bit under your chin.

Bro I don't know how to break this to you, but that is a tie, not a turtleneck.

[–] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago

Do you seriously not know how to read? It's a reply to a comment that literally raises the question of where a turtleneck would go.

The point of a necktie is to cover up the buttons on your shirt. #2 is correct.

But he's not wearing a shirt.

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Just use a velcro shirt /j

[–] darkstar@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 week ago

How is this a debate? It's definitely 2

Since when do you tie a tie at the top of your neck??

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

2... don't be daft.

[–] denaggels@feddit.org 10 points 1 week ago

I would love #1 to be correct. But there is no way #2 is not correct.

I think I might have to side with the squirrel on this one.

[–] Tippon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 week ago

1 at the start of the workday, and 2 by the end

[–] Marthirial@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

1 when he is fun. 2 when he is boring.

[–] huppakee@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago

Long neck should not equal long tie

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago

Umm…

Normally it goes under a shirt collar, but if your otherwise tromping around in your altogether, you are going to make a fashion statement no matter where you tie it.

[–] deadlyduplicate@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Would you put a tie on the top of your neck?

[–] acockworkorange@mander.xyz 2 points 1 week ago

I believe the documentary series Dinosaurs has already answer that.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 2 points 1 week ago

Por que no los DOS?
