(Brand new account because I feel too nervous to ask this under my main.)

Is it wrong or really weird that sometimes I like to imagine that all women are lesbians?

I never take this to the extreme, like going up to confirmed cishet women and telling them what their sexuality “really” is. By “sometimes” I mean that I only think like this when I am alone, with a lover, or with a good friend.

I never see anyone else talk about this, so I feel like I must be weird, maybe even unwell.

my mom told me when i came out that "all girls feel that way when they're your age, they just grow out of it" and i think abt it often

I don't think it's any weirder than fantasizing about, say, having sex with your celebrity crush. Which is not weird at all.

So long as you're not trying to follow through on it, enjoy your imaginary lesbian utopia!

There's tons of people who imagine everyone is heterosexual.

I like your version better

I've often thought about buying a Norwegian island and giving away plots of land to lesbians. Kinda like a sapphic haven in the fjords. A lesbos 2.0 if you like.

This for example.

Tribalism and dogma go hand in hand. It is simply how humans evolved so far. We are all, always thinking within a tribal scope. Even if you are partially aware of this, you will never be fully aware of your tribalistic nature and dogmas. No one fully grasps the ever evolving complexities that surround them. Tribalism and dogmas are a mechanism of simplification to help us process our surroundings.

I was raised in a cult like background of religious extremism I managed to escape and outgrow. I have had to deal with this subject on a more acute level than most. Dogma and tribalism are dangerous in that they are not based in cognitive logic. The tribe blocks out external sources of information in favor of the shared dogmas. This is how religion, racism, and bigotry gain their power. If you are self aware on this level, it is a powerful tool to better yourself. There is nothing wrong with needing to find your tribe. The feeling of wanting everyone to be oriented like yourself, is likely rooted in tribalism. Maybe you need to expand your friends group. Just be careful about letting such feelings take hold in deeper rooted dogmatic ideology. This is the same type of thing that plays out into harmful dogmas if left unchecked. Still, people can and do change. I was raised to treat you terribly, but I never really bought into that, I outgrew it, and now here I am trying to steer you away from a similar dichotomy. Anyways, if you recognize it as dogma and tribalism, you gain the opportunity to rise above it, manipulate it, and use it to your advantage instead of being subjected to it like most people that do not understand it.

Thanks man, very helpful. Love the obnoxious bolding.
