Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I guess I was lucky to snap a picture of it when still open for business.

Ugh, I'm just noticing the black-and-white tile pattern.

[–] SoloCritical@lemmy.world 16 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Oh my good it actually says “SS” doesn’t it?!

[–] Regrettable_incident@lemmy.world 10 points 5 hours ago

Yup. These fuckers certainly aren't shy. I'm disappointed no-one burned it down.

[–] maxxadrenaline@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

Overpriced burgers with "TRUMP" stamped on the bun. Why can't I think of some grift like that? I could be making bank. Stupid conscience.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 29 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, but you'd also have to be dealing with Trump supporters all day, overhearing their trump-loving conversations, and telling you how excited they are that you're running this business to serve them and the man they love, so .... What price sanity?

[–] Nusm@peachpie.theatl.social 13 points 12 hours ago

Okay, yeah. THAT’S why I wouldn’t do that.

They look burned on, so they are possibly technically carcinogenic too.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

They're gonna give me crabs???

Don't worry, your stomach acid will kill all but the most hardy and aggressive crabs.

[–] BobbyGasoline@lemmy.world 17 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

I passed one of restaurants last week, they changed it from trump burger to president burger.

[–] MoreZombies@quokk.au 5 points 9 hours ago

If "you are what you eat", then Trump is President Burger.

[–] webp@mander.xyz 2 points 9 hours ago

Too bad they aren't precedent burger

Signs for Empire Pizza on the old building were reported by KHOU 11 Monday, though it is uncertain whether the restaurant is open to the public yet.

I believe that building is cursed.

Some would say that it is... unnatural.

Next up: Totalitarian Taco Bar.

Isn't that rear end of a British police car? Lol. You'd probably have had a better result photoshopping it yourself.

[–] Regrettable_incident@lemmy.world 5 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (2 children)

It is. The side looks kinda Spanish tho.

Also, one of the ice wankers is pissing on it.

[–] regedit@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 hours ago

The other wanker is watching the pisser!

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 hours ago

The side does resemble an ICE vehicle, but yeah, I think it just sort of mashed some things up and got things wrong there too.

[–] 3abas@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago

Probably not worth the effort...

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world -4 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

So glad you burnt just a teeny but of our planet down for a shitty picture.

Totally fucking worth it bro, who needs real leopards when we can "make" pictures of them with AI?

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 17 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (3 children)

Oh fuck off with this shit. Do you say the same about people using electricity to run their graphics card when playing a game?

We use electricity everyday for frivolous shit. That’s clearly not your problem here.

[–] Nasan@sopuli.xyz 2 points 10 hours ago

Clearly the energy and fuel is better spent sending a photographer and actors to a place with leopards for a meme. Without paying them for their time of course.

[–] NeilBru@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

I guess @givesomefucks@lemmy.world doesn't know that you can host GANs on your own computer to train models and generate images on your own system for the same electrical cost associated with playing a video game.

[–] dickalan@lemmy.world 0 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Bro I'm not the one that wasted a shit load of water just to generate a stupid picture. Don't be a weirdo

[–] Grass@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 hours ago

I can generate this kind of shit on my own pc and it doesn't even go past to solar limits of the house. Idk what the datacenters use water for but doing it at home doesn't, unless maybe in power generation where there is no solar or wind.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 2 points 8 hours ago

No but you probably did to enjoy a steak or streamed a video. Don't be yourself Alan.
