I bought and scoffed a pack of Werther's Originals the other week. Haven't had those since my nan died.

One of the best Dollar Store candies. When I was teaching math at my local school, I kept these in my desk drawer and earning one was a coveted treat for my students.
How To Cut Your Tongue in One Easy Step!

Can confirm, I recently tried to find these in several stores, could not find.
Drug stores. Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid
There are no Rite Aids anymore.
Look in places that have bulk candy. Some grocery stores have a bulk section.
I have two candy stores nearby that sell these in bulk. I buy a bag and sneak a few of them into my wife’s purse occasionally to carry on the tradition.
I do this with lychee candies from my local Indian grocer, and every pocket I can wiggle one into without the owner noticing. Thankfully they are quite small, and come in completely sealed little wrappers (so no humidity melting).

Spreading joy one random sugar hit at a time. Not even 40 but totally understand the impulse.

Dollar stores. I bought a bag last week for some nostalgia!
They’re born from piñatas
Just gonna do strawberry bon bons dirty, huh?
Idc i love these things
If they're relatively fresh they're very good. If they're beyond a few months old, where they dry out and turn tacky, eww. A lady at my work has these on her desk, but they are years old, as I learned my first week here.
I remember my dad getting these from a cash and carry store he used to go to for restaurant supplies.
Similar to that pink, individually-wrapped bubble gum. You only had to buy one tub and it lasted the rest of your life.
My latest tattoo came with a few
I remember (possibly Mandela effect) them being more clear and hard candy crunchy. I had just assumed they stopped making them a couple decades ago and everything I'm eating now has just had moisture ingress
No, I am pretty confident that's my recollection too
