As I pointed out already, random public figures being drafted for/inserting themselves into politics is a HUGE part of the problem, going back to Reagan, and likely further still.

This has the potential to get some of her “I didn’t really care about Musk before” fans to look into it further, which can only help sway opinion against him. It won’t sway his supporters, but that’s not really the point. The point is to target the fence-sitters, and to engage those who haven’t engaged yet.
It’s not news for people who already like or dislike Musk. It’s news for those who don’t already care.
