ACAB, folks. This is what the "Defund the Police" folks recognized from the start.
The police problem is that police are policed by the police. Cops are accountable only to other cops, which is no accountability at all.
99.9999% of police brutality, corruption, and misconduct is never investigated, never punished, never makes the news, so it's not on this page.
When cops are caught breaking the law, they're investigated by other cops. Details are kept quiet, the officers' names are withheld from public knowledge, and what info is eventually released is only what police choose to release — often nothing at all.
When police are fired — which is all too rare — they leave with 'law enforcement experience' and can easily find work in another police department nearby. It's called "Wandering Cops."
When police testify under oath, they lie so frequently that cops themselves have a joking term for it: "testilying." Yet it's almost unheard of for police to be punished or prosecuted for perjury.
Cops can and do get away with lawlessness, because cops protect other cops. If they don't, they aren't cops for long.
The legal doctrine of "qualified immunity" renders police officers invulnerable to lawsuits for almost anything they do. In practice, getting past 'qualified immunity' is so unlikely, it makes headlines when it happens.
All this is a path to a police state.
In a free society, police must always be under serious and skeptical public oversight, with non-cops and non-cronies in charge, issuing genuine punishment when warranted.
Police who break the law must be prosecuted like anyone else, promptly fired if guilty, and barred from ever working in law-enforcement again.
That's the solution.

Our definition of ‘cops’ is broad, and includes prison guards, probation officers, shitty DAs and judges, etc — anyone who has the authority to fuck over people’s lives, with minimal or no oversight.

The subheading 2 hours from now: "1 year old baby charged with obstructing a federal officer"
We were just trying to spray the suspicious looking brown people when that baby threw itself into the line of fire. We believe the strongly indicates the baby has ties to antifa and should be dealt with accordingly.
Look, you can see the letters M S 1 3 on the baby’s knuckles
I don’t have the answers to this. But a wishful scenario would be for normal citizens to mask themselves as ICE agents and retaliate in kind. Will that ever happen? Probably not. But one can dream
It can't be that hard to get a couple ICE vests. Then you can do whatever you want.
Not even ICE vests. These guys usually wear random plate carriers that can be had (in replica form) for about $30 from an airsoft website. Fake plates to make it look right are another $10. You've been able to get official-ish-looking federal agency patches for years, $3-15 depending on how close you want it to look. Carry a pistol (about $200) in a drop-leg holster and you'll fool enough people if you're forceful enough and yell a lot.
Note that impersonating police is a crime. I expect this would also be a crime.
Just pointing out the issues with unidentified, masked police.
I wonder if you could roll up in a white van, in disguise, gather up a bunch of the most vulnerable, and release them safely into a nearby alley. Of course nobody would understand in the moment but still. Maybe have someone in the van who can tell them you're not la migra and you're just getting them out of there?
Spraying pepper spray into the window of a moving car is attempted murder.
They spoils be charged with one count per person in that car.
What the fuck
No way to identify them. But if you really want to be angered, read the comments on the source video.
Is it illegal to call for the public slow hanging of people that decided that a baby is a legitimate target for an assault like that?
This is a legitimate ethics question here.
I'm all against vigilantism, it doesn't help, it doesn't fix anything and it's mostly revenge based. Hide the police that you have.
I'm against capital punishment. The state should never kill in my name.
However, the police in the US is a joke and doesn't protect anyone but themselves, and these people are so far away from their humanity and are such a danger to even little babies that I really wonder, for the safety of all people, if we should start making examples?
These aren't humans, sorry. I know the right days that about the left, and people with dark skin color, and lgbts, but the difference is that we literally only wish to live freely, period, end of story, and they want to torture and murder US. We are not the same.
Even when this trump presidency is over, and it will be over one day soon, these people should be made an example of to ensure we're never going to repeat this shit again.
