I disagree - endorsing 3 sexual predators is actually quite a lot.

Also weird he didn't deny it.

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 71 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Weird that he can't think of something better.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago

What is he going to do? Not endorse the extremely relatable sex pest?

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 165 points 2 weeks ago (6 children)

He had 20 hours to think of a response, and that's what he came up with? How the hell did anyone think he was smart?

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 268 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] evasive_chimpanzee@lemmy.world 71 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

You ever wonder why the other billionaires with space companies have actually flown on their companies vehicles and he hasn't?

I bet he doesn't let his car autopilot him either.

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 26 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

To be fair, SpaceX isn't selling amusement park ride tickets on suborbital flights to the highest bidders like those competitors are. They aren't really comparable.

[–] Draces@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

They put a Tesla in orbit. If he trusted them and wasn't spineless he absolutely would

The man-rated Falcon 9 is good enough for NASA. NASA does not have low standards on these sorts of things.

Honestly, SpaceX is the only one of those that is doing actual work. Most of the others aren't much more than tourist rides at this point.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Do you have a better suggestion?

"Heh heh, gottem!"

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Yeah, I do have a better suggestion. Vote Mamdani. Done.

I'm not expecting clear thinking from the guy who sieg heiled on national TV, though.

Stupid people think he’s smart because he uses a lot of jargon.

[–] hayvan@feddit.nl 9 points 2 weeks ago

He's rich so he must be very smart and a moral ideal.

I find it incredibly funny that everyone seems to forget or intentionally ignore that Sliwa is also running

he's that much of a goofball that the Republicans won't support him even though he's the literal official Republican candidate lmfao

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 91 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Maybe if Sliwa did some crimes, preferably with sexual assault or high finance, republicans would respect him more.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 38 points 2 weeks ago

It shows that he really isn't fully engaged with the party's platform.

[–] ordnance_qf_17_pounder@reddthat.com 83 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Zohran is going to walk it and the cope from these fascist fucks will be delicious

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 56 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

I have a dangerous feeling: hope

Is it possible that 'Murica is capable of maturing a tiny bit and making a choice that will actually benefit society rather than a few rich white men?

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Me too, but it's only hope for NYC, which doesn't really help much of the rest of the country as much. Maybe he'll keep Trump busy, but he'll probably just use it as another distraction while hurting everyone.

It is hopeful if it signals a trend though, we need it to.

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 14 points 2 weeks ago

That's why hope is so dangerous

The civilised world sneers at 'Murica for good reason

We keep seeing them deliberately choose cruelty

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 weeks ago

Both parties are going to fight him on everything, so he's going to have to rally the people behind him. Fortunately, he seems to be pretty good at that.

[–] timbuck2themoon@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The problem with America is people wake up then immediately go back to sleep.

Maybe voting EVERY DAMN TIME will catch on at some point.

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 9 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Compulsory voting is one of the best things about my country

I'd love to see him win by a massive amount, like 2/3 majority. That way nobody can argue he doesn't have any support.

Pretending he doesn't know how his name is spelled, as if Mamdani hasn't spent the last months living rent free in Musk's head.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

He might have soft censored the correct spelling and now needs to tiptoe around it

Sort of like how he bans anyone who uses "cisgender"

Elon has lost it. So embarrassing.

[–] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 76 points 2 weeks ago

Never had it

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 51 points 2 weeks ago

he at no point had it. he's been a weird piece of shit no one should have listened to since he hit the scene in the 90s. we just all wake up to the truth at different moments

Intentionally misspelling someones name just makes you sound like an insecure 5yr old. Oh wait.. mentally I guess it fits.

Hey, we need an archived link of this tweet, especially the Elon portions. Archive.is is fine. If anyone wants to help out and give it, that's great and you all have half an hour.

Ah, the good ol' "a vote for X is really a vote for Y" being used against a Democrat instead of for. You love to see it!

Why is an account called trumptracker with an 8647 badge paying for a blue check on shitter?

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 30 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

there's a lot of morons who think staying on twitter while being leftish is an act of defiance and not providing the nazi bot farm the engagement it needs to perpetuate its evil. they make false equivalency comparisons saying things like leaving twitter is like fleeing a country, abandoning the people without the resources to flee. the problem with that argument is EVERYONE has the resources to leave twitter. no one is trapped on twitter, forced to stay (though the department of homeland security is surely trying by demanding all immigrants show their major social media platform posting history)

Republicans are the pedo party.

[–] lmmarsano@lemmynsfw.com 11 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Needs text alternative such as an archived link (rule 6).

better suggestion?

Vote down Musk's obscene pay package in the upcoming Tesla shareholder meeting (November 6), and vote the opposite for the rest of the company's recommendations, too.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (3 children)

It's further down in the comments, one of the users came through. FYI, I usually let the moderator post go to user so it doesn't stay at the top. I prefer it to not take over the thread. Look further in and/or report it and I'll take a look at it in the *future. Thanks for looking out though.

I Remember when I knew who Elon Musk was. The guy had a joint in its hand and was sharing "dank memes" on twitter while he was setting anime as pfp. Never heard of the guy before that.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 28 points 2 weeks ago

Wow because by the time he was doing podcasts and trying to fix his image he was already a known fuckwit.

The weed thing was PR after the pedo-sub guy in the Thai cave thing.

He apparently wants $1T to stop doing this and there's no guaranty he'd stop.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

Why would he stop? His brain is pudding and he just got handed $1T
