"In court, free speech is free speech, and that's the only position the government should have."

In practice this isnt though- every right has to have some limit to prevent abuse. For free speech, there are 2: the fire in a crowded theater scenario, and assault. For instance in my state, assault includes specific threats of violence. (By specific i mean the kkk would unfortunately be free to say 'we should kill all black people,' but 'were going tp burn down t

So, probably stupid question.

If a website pops up and asks for permission, and I bypass that pop-up in some way (like killing the pop up with an addon or some you can just ignore it and keep scrolling with it on the bottom of the screen)

Until ive clicked agree, do websites just not start tracking or creating or doing anything with cookies? After all, they've acknowledged they need, dont have permission.

Or is this by and large pointless, and unless ive jumped through their hoops, they've already started the page with cookies enabled?

I also live in a tourist town. Theres a private company that picks up garbage, but you set the day of the week. Most of the STR caretakers either set theirs for like Tuesday (which tends to be changeover day) or do it themselves, and almost every house has a little wooden hutch that people punched trash in to be collected/ take themselves. There is no putting the bin on the curb to be colected though- they trash co always empty the hutch for people.

Every once in a while, you'll drive through a block, and one random person will have put out their bin for whatever reason, and the whole neighbor hood will have copied them.

Tbe phenomenon has its own little Facebook group for locals to share when it happens.

I google addresses of houses im working at in my expensive ass home town, to look at approximate roof areas for fitting solar panels.

Now Google thinks im in the market for a $10M Mc mansion in any old part of the country.

I once bought my, now ex of 5 years, Gf a Tiffany pendant of a violin, because she was a violinist. Between that, and buying my mom a fleece jacket for Xmas one year, its decided im a transvestite. Who's into welding, knitting, wood carving, and a few other random hobbies from clicking links in reddit witt threads.

Sometimes I wish I were half as interesting as my ad profile.

They sent them all to crash land into earth, iirc, saying theyd be 'right behind them.' There are supposedly 3 ships: one with all the elites, executives, politicians, and another one with all the actual laborers. The middle ship (the one we actually see, and presumably rhe only one actually built) is full of middle managers, insurance salesmen, HR, and PR people, and telephone sanitizers. People labeled as a 'bunch of useless idiots' the rest of their society is then wiped out by a disease spread telephone handsets.

The ship crashes into earth, and the inhabitants become our progenitors.

Right, but they put them there, because thats where people expect the holes to be! (Really though, they're better hidden with the hole in the black ink of one of the numbers, or in the spindle thst turns the hands.
