!crpg@lemmy.world got a nice boost after I used the community promo function. Hopefully this will drive engagement.

!strategy_games@piefed.world is seeing solid growth dynamics, it's on its way to overtake the dormant strategy gaming comm with most subs.

!turnbasedstrategy@piefed.world has less engagement and subscribers (it's a more niche genre than generic strategy), but I think in 3-6 month it will overtake the dormant TBS comm by subscribers.

Thinking of opening a cozy games community on piefed.world since I am the only contributor to !cozygames@lemmy.world.

That would be nice, let us know if you do!

!fediverse@piefed.social is great, and slowly growing. I lack good ressource for update and news. It's hard to find good content about it. :)

!geekos@piefed.zip is fulling its goal, a free software community on piefed. I'm slowly filling the tag cloug with hashtag as linux, kde, gnome, libre phone...they will reach the fediverse. :3 And i added foss event where asso, dev, foundation meet each other and share their ideas. :)

Would be cool to see more activity in !simpleliving@slrpnk.net so that more people can learn about how to simplify their own lifestyles, but living such a simple lifestyle already, I'm a bit disconnected from what most people would find interesting or useful, so I haven't been posting.

  • !fruit@slrpnk.net has gotten more activity lately but still not a lot of posts or comments.
  • !vegan@slrpnk.net is active (largely thanks to Sunshine) and is one of the largest communities on the instance and one of the largest vegan communities on the Fediverse.
  • !plantswap@mander.xyz remains far too quiet for the number of seeds and plants in need of planting around the world.
  • !cameroon@baraza.africa is predictably quiet, as I don't think that there are many people from the region posting on the Fediverse yet, and most major news outlets don't even publish articles about that part of the world.

Unfortunately, we are not really at the size yet where we can have good content/discussions about countries with lower news coverage.

I feel like the simple living crowd probably moved to !casualconversation@piefed.social for a "simple/casual" community that's a bit more generic than specifically simple living

On !fullmoviesonyoutube@piefed.social , @perishthethought@piefed.social started a "Halloween-a-thon" which is an interesting example of event-based community growth encouragement, i.e. it got a couple different people to post.

In some sense, I have adopted the onepiece@lemmy.world community. not as a mod, but I have been posting stuff from reddit and yt theories, and have seen some more upvotes than usual. hope the community grows more.
