Waterful is that most disquieting of things, a "nature-builder". It's a colourful chillout game in which you draw rivers through procedurally generated deserts.

I stumbled on to this game after going down a rabbit hole for Indie RPGs and I think its definitely worth a look if you enjoy less intense action RPG games; this feels like a cross between Wind Waker and Fantasy Life. As for appearance, the game's graphical theme is very reminiscent of Wind Waker or Sail Forth and it uses a heavily stylized animated look which I really prefer over hyper-realistic graphics. Multi-player is also available and there are even dedicated servers which is another plus if you want to adventure with friends.

While the title is still in early access, there is already a ton of content to explore and more planned before the official 1.0 release. The game offers class-less character building and you can essentially level up your skills based on the weapons and play style you prefer. There is also a wide range of crafting skills to pursue and player housing and customization. Farming is available too and it is simplified and much less of a chore than the "harvest moon" style games (e.g. no need to constantly weed).

Another big positive is the active Discord and the Dev is very responsive to feedback and bugs. This is one of the reasons I really want this game to do well and since I am amazed at what such a small team has been able to put together. That's what motivated me to post this small boost on Lemmy.

There are a number of reviews online and steam feedback has been very positive so I am far from alone in liking this game. https://www.thegeeklygrind.com/all-posts/swords-n-magic-and-stuff-review

Duck Side of the Moon looks like a wonderful cozy adventure game about an astronaut duck searching for a new home in a whimsical galaxy.

I just played through the serene, calm, relaxing first person puzzle game Botany Manor, and would really like to continue on that same path.
What other games can you recommend that would sweap me away into a stress free world of slow exploration?

I found a post from a year ago which asked the same question, however, it was for xbox, and I need something that I can pull out of my pocket when I cozy down into the corner of our couch. I normally PC game, but that's not the place for such experiences.

All suggestions appreciated, and a small reason why it's similar much appreciated.

GameDiscoverCo's data shows the word "cozy" being used in capsule descriptions more and more frequently.

Damage control on day one is never fun.

Game also says it has Y2K-inspired in-game web pages, and I can definitely see that in the artstyle. Feels somehow modern but also not like it would be too out of place on my old Nintendo DS. It does involve the main character's grandmother with Alzheimer's, a "comedic-yet-bittersweet story," and some darker websites, so if you are just looking for cozy vibes this might not be it.
