Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Needs to be the pepe Silvia meme of rfk trying to link autism to anything.

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 13 points 7 months ago

The foreskins protect you from the Tylenol.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 64 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I mean... what the fuck?

But I can't fault finally considering an end to Male Genital Mutilation.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

I'm with you - I have no idea how that shit is even still legal.

[–] SparroHawc@lemmy.zip 34 points 7 months ago

I'm uncircumcised and I was never diagnosed with autism!

Never mind that I would throw a fit as a child if my pancakes weren't cut into a grid AND THEN reassembled into their circular shape.

My mom (who doesn't like to go to restaurants because being waited on stresses her out) was also never diagnosed with autism!

Because diagnoses equal incidence rate, right?

I wonder what other correlations might go with circumcision...

[–] BlueLineBae@midwest.social 30 points 7 months ago

I seriously thought this was the Onion WTF

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 28 points 7 months ago

"There are two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism," Kennedy said Oct. 9 at President Donald Trump’s Cabinet meeting. "It’s highly likely because they’re given Tylenol."

I fear dumbasses are still going to circumcise their baby boys and will just not give them any pain reliever

[–] selkiesidhe@sh.itjust.works 26 points 7 months ago (2 children)

That sounds like a whole lot of DISTRACTION FROM THE FACT HE RAPED CHILDREN.

Release the Epstein files!!

[–] titanicx@lemmy.zip 16 points 7 months ago

Do you mean Donald j Trump, current president of the United States, raped children? Along with his, self admitted, best friend Jeffrey r Epstein?

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 2 points 7 months ago

I don't think him talking about child genitalia is much of a distraction.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 25 points 7 months ago (1 children)

You heard him MAGAts.

Cut your dicks off.

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

Libs HATE it when strong MAGA men cut their own dicks off!

[–] Zagam@piefed.social 23 points 7 months ago (2 children)

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

So there’s zero women with autism huh

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

There's female "circumcision", although very rare in the west due to it usually happens without consent of the recipient, so it became a hot topic through alarmism that left out this little detail, which lead to some of the worst arguments against it being used against gender affirming surgeries.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 19 points 7 months ago (4 children)

"There are two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism," Kennedy said Oct. 9 at President Donald Trump’s Cabinet meeting. "It’s highly likely because they’re given Tylenol."

And of course this statistic couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that most boys in this country are circumcised at birth.

[–] saimen@feddit.org 1 points 7 months ago (2 children)

They are? Why? I get it for religious reasons but otherwise...why...just for fun?

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

Mostly cause it's what parents think should be done. Their parents did it and their grandparents did it and so on, so they just have the doctor perform it as a matter of course. And as a justification it's often touted as being cleaner and safer than remaining uncircumcised (it's not).

[–] elucubra@sopuli.xyz 1 points 7 months ago

So infant genital mutilation for religious reasons is cool?

Just ban circumcision already. Parents should not have the right to cut off your body parts

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 9 points 7 months ago

Its literally forced mutilation and pointless. Wash your junk.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 12 points 7 months ago
[–] comrade_twisty@feddit.org 12 points 7 months ago

US news are so embarrassing these days the websites actually block European IPs from accessing them.

[–] HulkSmashBurgers@reddthat.com 11 points 7 months ago (1 children)

So tylenol makes your foreskin fall off which gives you autism? Where do the brain worms fit into all this?

I'm so confused.

[–] vala@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 7 months ago

The brain worms fit into RFKs head

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 10 points 7 months ago (1 children)

How does the autism know which Tylenol was for the circumcision?

Not really the white hoods I'd like the federal government to be concerned about, to be honest…

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 8 points 7 months ago (1 children)

They probably circumcised his brain after birth...

[–] Siegehammer85@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

The real (native) Americans circumcised a lot of invaders heads, just not enough unfortunately

[–] GlassHalfHopeful@lemmy.ca 8 points 7 months ago

It could be the bourbon, but this has me giggling. 😂

[–] sepi@piefed.social 7 points 7 months ago

bobby brainworms says the stupidest shit

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago (2 children)

Well, if this sets back the rates of circumcision and stops a second Stonetoss from manifesting (no seriously, he became far-right due to his botched circumcision, which he blames on the Jews), then it has at least some good effects, even if unintentionally.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Wait really? Like normally I'm very sympathetic to those with botched circumcisions, but in his case I'll make an exception to laugh

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 7 months ago

musk went to a ghetto surgeon, who "diy" his enlargement procedure which mangled his penus.

[–] Stamau123@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

Elon Musk 🤝 Stonetoss

going insane from a botched penis surgery

[–] ShellMonkey@piefed.socdojo.com 6 points 7 months ago

How much of a payout do you suppose the drug manufacturers need to give donnie and the worm before a new study proves the old ones wrong?

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 7 months ago (1 children)

We don't circumcise in the Netherlands. And we don't have Tylenol. We do have other brands though. So we don't have autism in the Netherlands, except for Jewish men. Guess I don't have autism anymore hahaha

[–] Lommy@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

There are, unfortunantly, a lot of circumcisions performed in The Netherlands. But i agree, this is going make my life a lot easier! 😄

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 7 months ago

Not as much as in the autism infested US xD

[–] mhague@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

When you are investigating autism but you're conservative: have we considered children's genitals?

What does this little boy's Ja Rule have to say about this?

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 5 points 7 months ago

Drama, even though it's really happening,is a distraction from the long goal.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

HEY LOOK OVER HERE! WE'RE SAYING SOMETHING SILLY AGAIN! ~~Don't ask about the Epstein files~~

[–] elevenbones@sh.itjust.works 3 points 7 months ago
[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Sure
