I hate it, this year it's been relentless

It's been consistently 30° or above in my flat for days. It's utterly miserable.
Sorry to hear that... Last year my place was above 30° for a couple weeks and I had to shut off things like the PC because the extra heat exhausted made using it not feasible in this temperature. The hotter the ambience, the larger the gap between my PC exhaust and the room it's in (20° room means 25° PC. 33° room means 42° PC). It was hellish, and I prioritise/recommend:
- not moving as much as possible
- using fans to cool you/circulate air through
- staying in the farthest room from the star
- keeping windows open
- keeping curtains closed on the hotter side
- making sure chilled water or ice is always available
I even start to sleep during the afternoon so I can be productive at night (although waking up sweaty isn't great).
All great tips, thank you!
I'm pretty sure we all died back in 2016. We've been in Hell ever since!
People said that in 2017 and I still subscribe to it
Shhh! Starmer is about to announce he's solved the heat problem in the British Isles by giving away the British Isles and having China rename them. It won't cost tax payers, pensioners, the sick and the elderly, small children in chimneys, pets .. many billions in reparations.
Rachel is all in favour because we'll be dealing in another currency which she doesn't understand either.
Lammy is constructing another Lammy and wasn't told.
Ed needs another £400B to build houses on the blades of the windmills. No need for expensive cabling for locally generated free electricity and the breeze will be fantastic in the houses as the residents twirl around in the breeze.
This reads like an unhinged take on the state of affairs, and yet woefully accurate. What a time to be alive
I am both delighted and disappointed by those kind hostile remarks. 😁😳😜

Stop-press: Lammy has just disclosed that he wasn't briefed on possibilities available in fishing-Lammys.
I learned that I was fundamentally not wired for hot weather when I lived in Australia for a while. It was then that I realised I had clearly been a penguin in a former life (which explained the walk).
Meanwhile we are having a positively chilly summer in San Diego.
Not yet, but we're working on it.
