Rogers is the country’s top wireless provider

Easy when there's only 2 service provideers in most of Canada

Technically three since Videotron/Freedom run their own network but the coverage is so limited that you'll be on one of their "Nationwide" partners most of the time outside urban areas which means Rogers or Bell/Telus (they network share in so many areas i always bucket them together even if there are places where they maintain their own networks and they do have separate backhaul but anyway)

I say Rogers and Bell should merge. Then merge with Telus, then videotron.

Then get nationalized as a fully public entity.

That's basically what René Levesque did to create Hydro Québec. The government purchased the existing Hydro Québec and bought every other electric company in the province.
