Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I don't think I hate a single Republican fascist more than I hate this worthless fuck.

It would have been better for him and everyone else if that tumor had killed him instead of turning him into a lazy melancholic genocide fetishist.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 24 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

FUCK YOU DO YOUR FUCKING JOB

[–] MBech@feddit.dk 9 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

But have you considered how this is hurting him personally? His poor little fascist feelings?

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 hours ago

picks up with one hand

Lifts above shoulder

Pulls back and closes eyes

Throws into the sea AEGH!!

[–] SulaymanF@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

He’s being paid over 100k a year to be there right?

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

"I’m gonna vote no, there’s no drama, we know the votes are going to go.”

TBH I was relieved to hear he wasn't voting with the Republicans this time.

[–] Stern@lemmy.world 28 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

Not a whole lot the left and right can agree on these days but I think "Fuck this dude for bitching about missing his beach vacation because he has to do the job he was elected for" is fairly bipartisan.

[–] leftthegroup@lemmings.world 5 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

This reminds me of Cruz being forced to not go to Cancun while his state froze to death.

[–] drhodl@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Actually, he was already in Cancun and had to return. He blamed that on his daughter because apparently he had to "escort" her to Cancun.

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 8 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

Though his complaint is that him voting no doesn’t matter because of numbers

It becomes more defeatist than whiny

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 14 points 12 hours ago

Poor little brain-damaged baby!

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 21 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Just read the section on his mayorship of Braddock. This bud has been problematic for a long time. I don't think he's gone crazy lately, instead people got sold a counterfeit product during his federal election that they didn't look much into.

[–] lama@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

Yeah some more news did a good segment on him, explaining how he was always pretty crappy: https://youtu.be/28M_zkoAGQM

[–] sik0fewl@lemmy.ca 1 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Ya, great watch.

I think people just didn't look close enough or brushed some of the bad things away because someone had to defeat Dr. Oz.

[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 1 points 10 hours ago

He ran on the platform the Democratic Party ran on for 2020, which still held appeal regardless of his track record. But honestly after his stroke his spouse really helped carry him across the general. In the end though she isn't the senator.

But now there's no platform at all so he's just doing whatever he wants, including being a total shitbag. He's a senator for a failed party, after all.

[–] Suavevillain@lemmy.world 23 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I can't wait until someone gets this Shrek looking mf out of power.

[–] b3an@lemmy.world 29 points 22 hours ago

Take a job that doesn’t fuck your schedule then. Nobody wants you there anyway.

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 23 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Does two strokes cancel out? Because I think he should get another stroke to see if he suddenly becomes a progressive lol

[–] Pulptastic@midwest.social 10 points 17 hours ago

I think that would just make him more republican.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 202 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Feel free to fuck off and die at any time.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 39 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's exactly what the Republicans are saying.

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 44 points 1 day ago (2 children)

His brain damage turned him Republican.

This asshole really needs to resign, if this is how he feels about doing his fucking job. If you want to spend time with your family at the beach so badly...by all means, get the fuck out of office and make room for someone who actually gives a shit.

[–] gndagreborn@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Stroke personality changes are very real. I feel for him in that regard

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 16 points 1 day ago (7 children)

Stop shaming stroke victims.
Fetterman was always like this.

[–] dandelion@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

just gently suggesting both can be true - he was problematic before the stroke, but the stroke could also be playing a role in what by all accounts seems to be a change in behavior and long-held policy positions which started after the stroke. Even Fetterman himself thinks the stroke is what was responsible for this change: https://newrepublic.com/post/182504/john-fetterman-abandon-progressives-bill-maher

Fetterman just needs to go the fuck away for his sake and the sake of others. It's obvious he isn't all there mentally and fucking hates being there so he should make room for someone who is mentally capable and wants to be there.

[–] Snapz@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

If brain damage wasn't bad enough... It turns you into a miserable republican fuck.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago

If lifes and even Democracy itself is at stake, this should not be an issue.

[–] lupusblackfur@lemmy.world 67 points 1 day ago

Cry harder you fucking MAGAt in "sheep's clothing"...

“I’m gonna vote no, there’s no drama, we know the votes are going to go.”

Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it you brain-addled MAGAt-surrogate fucking traitorous turd. 🤡 🖕 💩 💩

me and my 7 allowed days of PTO a year are gonna tell you to go find a fat cactus to sit on

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 50 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Welcome to taste of our world, Fetterman.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 41 points 1 day ago (6 children)

You get beach vacations? I don't even get 5 minutes alone to masturbate. Gotta do it on the city bus like everybody else...

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Look at this motherfucker bitching but can afford bus fare.

I jerk off in the library where it’s free.

Someone call the "whaaambulance" for Festerman.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 30 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Stuck with this mofo for another four years.

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Not sure Dr. Oz would have been any better, though...

Aww, does someone have to do his job?

[–] jhoff90@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

A lobster would be a better representative than Fetterman and his MAGA brain damage at this point.
