“Elite universities are rife with communism, socialism, transgenderism…”?

“[professors] teach students who and what to hate”?

“[leftists] want a new America opposed to the Founders’ ideas”?

Maybe a little exaggerated?

When you misrepresent your enemies, you make a fool of your cause.

I think this requires their supporters to have their own thoughts.

First class: Right-wing Projection 101

It's crazy how conservatives adopted the whole Unnecessary Capitalization and you can tell the intention of the copy just by looking for it. The same goes for all caps emphasizing IMPORTANT words, not present here, but common in headlines, tweets and other messaging coming from them.

Right wing grammar.

It's like there a population that's had poorly funded education and can barely read, so they use capitals to make the propaganda easier to digest

I want to know how "transgenderism" is trying to take away their freedom. Like, I know it's fabricated nonsense, but I'd like to know what they even think the danger is. Do they think that there's a trans agenda to round up cis people and force them to get sex changes? Like what even is the logic.

Yes. They actually think that.

Yes, especially tricking kids into surgery, despite all the research saying transgender surgery is less regretted than many successful cancer surgeries. And despite the fact that usually gender affirming care for kids is puberty blockers to allow them to make a firm decision when they are older. In fact, to help prevent the fact that kids are more suspceptible to persuasion and confusion.

God damn I wish universities were even a fraction that cool

Why do they even need donations if they’re on the conservative grift train? Can’t some sex pervert who collects NAZI memorabilia or whatever just fund Hillsdale College from the pile of money he inherited?

[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

grift train

Because that's how those trains keep going. It isn't about cash on hand, it is about projecting how much can be acquired.

I already gave you more money than the Civil War cost, and you spent it already?!

I hope they rot.

I decided to take the Hillsdale college course on “communism” just for fun, and it’s some of the same rhetoric. Communism is bad because… (shows Revolutionary to Stalinist Soviet Union and pride flags). Marx and Engels were actually hypocrites because they are bourgeois! (Technically true for Engels, but he used his class for good as a way to further communist ideals.) I’d actually recommend this course because all it does is strengthen your left ideals.
