This community is mostly for discussion and news. Remember to search for the thing you're submitting before posting to see if it's already been posted.
We want to keep the quality of posts high. Therefore, memes, funny videos, low-effort posts and reposts are not allowed. We prohibit giveaways because we cannot be sure that the person holding the giveaway will actually do what they promise.
5. Mark Spoilers and NSFW
Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.
No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.
6. No linking to piracy
Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.
We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

Always, ever since the first one on PSP the MH language has been a staple for me! Can't get enough of the gibberish

Hard for me not to get excited about a new Monster Hunter.
Still have Rise/Sunbreak sitting on my backlog barely played, but I still hope this one turns out well.
I get this. Loved Tri and Freedom Unite, played a decent amount of 4, some of World, and barely started Rise.
They're always exciting, and I don't dislike any of the games, but it's just a lot to get going, really invest the time, and get the value out of these.
That's why I love the MH series - plenty of value, even just solo'ing it. I'm still trying to finish up World, doing everything I want to do. Unfortunately I have to put a lot of time into these games to "git gud" lol. And of course at the same time, real life responsibilities calls. xD Not quite ready to move on just yet!
It will be releasing on Steam and Xbox on the same day.
A lot of these Playstation trailers are borderline misleading. I don't expect Sony to advertise for other platforms, but the way they present things make it look like a PS5 exclusive.
It's becoming quite petty advertising.
Microsoft did a lot of the same when they did their shows in the recent past. Very heavily implying that games are "Xbox exclusive" or "Console exclusive" which just meant it was exclusive for the Xbox console between the other consoles.
It's been this way for over 20 years.
