Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

They cancelled the testing because it's not tested enough. MAGA brainworm logic will literally be the death of us all.

[–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 115 points 9 months ago (4 children)

They’ve been lying about the reason the whole time. They don’t give a fuck how tested it is or what the results are, they want it off the market for ideological reasons. Right wing crunchy fash might honest to god be worse than the Evangelicals.

Right wing crunchy fash might honest to god be worse than the Evangelicals.

They're the same picture

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 8 points 9 months ago

I watched the Evangelicals slowly turn into crunchy fascists, it was fucken bizzare. While I don't know the source the first sign I saw was Kent Hovind pushing "Vitamin B17" also known as de facto cyanide, basically it is a compound that breaks down into cyanide in the gut.

Right wing crunchy fash

Oh no

Honestly, I think it's more they just want to hurt the working class. Keep us as sick and desperate as possible.

I think the “brainworm” is just conservatism… It attacks the education centre of the host and, over decades, renders them extremely dumb and pliable to its will.

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Brain damage (concussion, parasites, etc.) has shown to lead to more conservative tendency.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

Long term safety testing is different from efficacy testing.

But it sounds like there will no money for any types of testing.

I'd like to split the US now. Same rules. North and south. Korea did it.

Start heading north then, we'll take anyone up here as long as you behave. MI-UP has so much unused land.

[–] gdog05@lemmy.world 14 points 9 months ago

Living in Idaho, the Mississippi of the North, I'm curious about the new borders but extremely intrigued.

Yeah, but that's my slice of untouched nature to visit in the summer....there's so little left 🥲

[–] SendMePhotos@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Except South will be the weirdos, not the north. 😉

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 8 points 9 months ago

Okay.

[–] Tinks@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Ok but um...what do we do with California?

[–] Zahtu@feddit.org 4 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

I hear there is already a great Country Up north Maybe they would BE interested ingaining a bit more Land south of them. So why Not Join them then?

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 21 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I'm assuming you're just German, but your capitalization makes it look like you're trying to write a secret message

[–] Zahtu@feddit.org 2 points 9 months ago

Who knows 😏

[–] mhague@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

How about Americans get to stay in America, but we move Trumpers and Separatists to shitty reserves, guano islands, spits of airstrip in the Pacific, etc.

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago

They can have Texas and its power grid to themselves

[–] wise_pancake@lemmy.ca 21 points 9 months ago (1 children)

And that marks the official end of the US pharmaceutical industry.

[–] DeathsEmbrace@lemm.ee 3 points 9 months ago

Do not touch anything newly approved. I'm starting to think they're going to let leaded drugs back in.

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 15 points 9 months ago

Drink the bleach, eat the horse cream.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 13 points 9 months ago (1 children)
