I think the quiet one is salvageable, since people do seem to leave comments when a question's asked there

Yeah I often get the sense that everyone is waiting for everyone else to start posting in certain communities lol.
Just like other similar platforms, the vast majority of people never post. Some reply and/or rate, most are just scrolling.
Every question I've ever had about anything leaves my mind whenever I think about asking a question to keep the ball rolling
For me, at the point where I'd need to ask someone a question, the amount of information I'd have to provide for context is usually too much of a burden to even try asking lol.
I've long been subscribed to !outoftheloop@lemmy.world, but I agree with you that it isn't getting a lot of activity.
Maybe we're just an informed bunch.
Beat me to it hah
There is one (the lemmyworld one which I'm also subscribed to) but haven't seen much there lately. Got a question? Go ahead and post
No question I just like to scroll there
If you're looking for answers, then any post in a community with a good spread of subscribers will get noticed. It doesn't need to be currently active.
Heaps of people browse All. And Lemmy is small enough that most of the time posts will get seen, the content doesn't get buried particularly fast.
