Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

thank god y'all karens protected your kids from autism by killing them.

bunch of ablest pricks…

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 44 points 1 year ago (2 children)

But also, vaccines don't cause autism.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 39 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Even IF they did, the incidence is obviously insanely low, and yes... if someone would rather have a dead child than an autistic one, they shouldn't have children at all.

Killing your kids is the best way to show “big pharma” who’s boss!

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 39 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Remember when Trump said Obama should resign if one American died of Ebola?

[–] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 24 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Texas going back time rapidly.

And taking the rest of us with them. Measles is popping up all over the place.

[–] griff@lemmings.world 4 points 1 year ago

bUt tHiNk oF tHe cHiLdReN!

-A bunch of idiots who like to performatively "protect" children while not actually giving a single fuck about children

[–] griff@lemmings.world 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

as they “protect” women by legislatively denying women crucially necessary health care procedures

Well, I'm going to do it whether the women like it or not. I'm going to protect them.

Said like the rapist that he is.

In the year 1927. Oh sorry. Nevermind

[–] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

I feel so owned.

Well what doesn't kill you, makes- oh. Well, if it doesn't kill you, then it makes you-

Oh, well, never mind then. There are absolutely no redeeming qualities when it comes to having measles.

[–] blakenong@lemmings.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It does no good to screenshot without a source.

[–] My_IFAKs___gone@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Immune by Philip Dettmer.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I'll feel a lot safer after all the stupid people die.

They're risking MY life without getting my permission.

[–] Scrollone@feddit.it 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The sad thing is that those children were innocent. It's their parents that are stupid.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

That should be parental abuse. Why isn't it?

A "free" country?

Not when your decision ~~hurts~~ kills others.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Until it spreads so much that vaccinated kids who didn't get immunity start dying.

[–] SeaJ@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago

We are on track to have the worst measles cases in decades.

[–] DontRedditMyLemmy@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Omg, RFK attended the funeral and wasn't murdered? What kind of place welcomes someone like him after a kid dies from a preventable disease??

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

RFK

technically rfk is just a empty husk, controlled by his worms, the worms already ate his brain, kinda like that alien in MIB.

This kind:

"“It’s not as bad as they show in the news,” said a woman in a nearby park, who did not wish to be identified. Children who are vaccinated are “not as healthy,” she added"

[–] monkeyman69@lemmynsfw.com 5 points 1 year ago

Thoughts and prayers.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

If only they could invent a medication people could take to prevent getting it...

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Unless the parents get behind bars for child endangerment.

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This wouldn't be a problem if the vaccines weren't so risky.
