Your post subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.
Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.
Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.
Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.
Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.
Rule 6- Regarding non-TIL posts.
Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-TIL posts using the [META] tag on your post title.
Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.
If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Something critical to note is that help is not really out there. This is the kind of news article that usually gets people to post 988, but if you’ve called 988 you know how much of a joke it is. They will “triage” you, where you either get the cops called to take you to hell/inpatient or you spend half an hour plus on hold for someone to say “sorry that sucks :(“
Inpatient institutionalize increase suicide rates after release. You get maybe fifteen minutes of actual “treatment” while the rest of it is being treated like a criminal. Good luck keeping your job after disappearing three days without being allowed to access your phone!
It amazes me when I see TikToks and videos from patients in inpatient facilities in other countries. In the US, wanting to kill yourself means that you are a horrible criminal and you will be punished for it.
I went to the hospital with ideation once, told them I had the plan, the means, and the desire. I was drunk as shit, which tended to be the times I was most suicidal. The intake guy was like... let's just sober up a bit, you don't want to be here, you're not suicidal. Told me how bad it would get if they admitted me. For a while after that I was pretty pissed that he basically turned me back out coldly, then after time I realized he saved me a huge cost and burden. He was right.
You know what stopped the suicidal thoughts tho, getting sober, and having a kid slammed the whole book shut. I actually had to hit a therapist up because my only real coping skill was contemplating suicide, had to learn others.
You forgot the part where they will charge you ~$1200/day to "hold" you against your will for 3 days.
The hospitals don't really help, either. I was made to feel almost worse than i did just being depressed.
The ones for children are even worse. Zero accountability. Adults with no reason to ever be supervising a child.
The society must persist...I am so sorry.
