I'd be happy if world leaders just kept saying more and more obviously smartass shit like this until Trump is so enraged that he finally strokes out.
Taunting a senile lunatic is... probably not a great strategy. But god it would be funny.
It's an excellent strategy, so long as you can anticipate his next moves and preempt them.
It's a dumb strategy if he can rampage and you have no way to stop him.
Well, he is in full control of the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons.
France has it's fair share of nukes, too. And we're a far distance from a US/France war, much less a nuclear war.
But there's a very good chance Trump would fuck with the French economy. At that point, we all know Macron would fold instantly.
Appeasing the senile lunatic ended up with him being upset at us anyway. Might as well push as far as it goes, and then a centimeter more.

A part of me still likes to believe that someone was smart enough to cut the wire to the littel red button before he took office for the second time.
They're outright evil. And yes...they're irresponsibly stupid. But not THAT stupid. Miller and co. would have made sure that when the little red button gets pushed, it's on their time, not because the syphillitic orange muppet whose ass they have their hands up decides to have a dementia moment.
