Is there anything, like, ANYTHING AT ALL that is just my personality and not ADHD?!?!?
A lot of the "traits" I had that I connected to my ADHD was ironically not from the internet but from this book by Michele Novotni, PhD "What Does Everybody Else Know That I Don't". When I did, I functioned way better. If I learned earlier I wouldn't have suffered and lost lifelong opportunities.
I'm actually writing a book on this. Take RSD, the new darling of ADHD "influencers", for example: the concept that fear of rejection is an ADHD trait, and that non ADHD people ignore rejection is so preposterous it makes me mad.
Think of the whole sociodynamics of teen and young adulthood, for example, or the billion dollar industries based on catering to people's fear of rejection. Most people crave acceptance, praise, being valued, etc. We are social animals.
Lots more in the book.
I'm wring the book in spurts of hyper focus, with days or weeks between these, of course. We do have major, objective challenges.

charcuterie: love it but it's a lot more difficult now that both meat and milk hurt tummy :(
mechanical keyboards: now this one I don't get, personally. i need my peripherals to be as quiet and compact as possible for sensory filtering and portability
You can do quiet and compact, mechanical, believe it or not! In that case, in my opinion, it would be all about the tactile sensations.
i could get on board with a quiet compact mechanical keyboard. i sort of assumed they were necessarily loud and chunky lol
would love to 3D print myself a mold to make a full coverage (top and bottom) silicone rubber sleeve for it. so that when i inevitably spill something on it, it has a chance to survive
If you look into ergonomic keyboards, vast majority of mechanical keyboards look like trash afterwards.

… is there a wrong number? We can forgive people for discovering it late in life and not watching it enough I think.
I haven’t watched since it went to paramount+.
Looking to watch Star Trek for the first time ever... Where do I start? Should I avoid anything?
I like The Next Generation, I think it’s a great entry point.
The consensus is to grit through much of the first season, after which it gets good.
You start at the beginning. The original series and ‘The Next Generation’ should keep you occupied for a while. The movies are mostly bleh, maybe choose by RottenTomatoes. ‘Deep Space Nine’ and ‘Voyager’ seem to be alright, haven't watched them myself.
Also, watching ‘Red Dwarf’ after ‘TNG’ works splendidly.
DS9 is an absolute banger. Probably my favorite series.
But season 1 of DS9 is brutal to get through.
S1 of almost every ST series is rough to get through. The only exceptions imo are, curiously, in the nuTrek sphere: SNW and LD.
