Donald Trump ordered ICE officers to prioritize deportations in Democrat-run cities in a wild Truth Social rant Sunday night.

Trump issued the unprecedented, politically motivated orders just hours after millions of protesters gathered in major American cities, calling for Trump’s megalomania to be curbed.

Trump told ICE staff to “do all in their power” to detain and deport undocumented immigrants in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.

Protests in these cities—and many more Democrat-controlled districts—attracted millions of citizens on Saturday, dwarfing the crowd that attended Trump’s birthday parade in Washington, D.C.

Sure looks illegal to me. I keep hoping one of his crimes will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, but damned if this isn't one tough camel.

The post in question:

[–] MrSmith@lemmy.world 11 points 8 hours ago

I don't think there's "legal" and "illegal" anymore in the US. It's "allowed" or "not allowed" by the king+oligarch.

[–] Kaput@lemmy.world 6 points 7 hours ago

Radical Democrats is awfully close to illegal Democrats.

[–] 9tr6gyp3@lemmy.world 161 points 1 day ago (3 children)

If he knows there are millions and millions of illegal aliens, why is he rounding up the legal ones?

[–] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 22 points 18 hours ago

He's a racist piece of shit

[–] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 113 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ding! Ding! Ding!

This is why I am having a hard time feeling bad for Trump supporters who just found out that Trump wants them out too despite them being legal residents. There were never enough undocumented immigrants to meet the deportation numbers he wants. He was always planning on cancelling work and student visas and anything else to kick brown people out of the country.

[–] j0ester@lemmy.world 5 points 5 hours ago

It’s exactly that. If he wants to kick out all the international students and such, all he has to do is withdraw from NPT (I can actually see them doing this).

  • “millions and millions” is total bs
  • technically they’re probably not. It looks like they have a bunch of new unqualified people and set impossible quotas.

While I would never have sympathy for any officers knowingly complying with illegal orders, it also fits with the current administration that management is by bullying, threats, impossible demands, and no concern for correctness until a scapegoat is needed

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 22 points 19 hours ago

Illegal aliens is starting to sound a lot like "Jews".

I wouldn't be surprised if our president went off an bankers next.

[–] athairmor@lemmy.world 85 points 1 day ago (3 children)

That’s got Stephen Miller’s fingerprints all over it.

[–] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 67 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Any semi-coherent post from Donnie is written by someone other than him. If he posted it he would have gotten distracted halfway through.

[–] Azzk1kr@feddit.nl 20 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago) (1 children)

Although, Hegseth (or whoever wrote it) does a wonderful job with all the random Capitalization Everywhere.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 20 hours ago

That's the TRUTH!

As far as characteristics of his "style" of bleating to camouflage ghost writing, I'd say that's probably one of the easiest ones to do without turning your own brain into mush in the process.

Just highlight the word, a click or two, and it looks more like the Unhinged RAVINGS of the Mango Mussolini.

[–] Beryl@jlai.lu 30 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Exactly. That's way too rich of a vocabulary for Trump

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 6 points 14 hours ago

Plus, Trump tweets in all caps. Not because he's angry all the time, but because he's old and that's the only way he can read the characters as he types them.

[–] ReallyActuallyFrankenstein@lemmynsfw.com 13 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

I had the same thought and am glad to see you're already here with 44 upvotes. Trump is just here for the attention, cruelty and grift, but he's not a thinker.

This is a manifesto. And apart from the consistent spelling and grammar, the capitalized words aren't as random as Trump - way too many and too consistent. It's certainly a mimicked style by someone who thinks they know how Trump writes.

Stephen Miller is the architect of the ICE policy and the one whipping the horses - it's gotta be him.

[–] newthrowaway20@lemmy.world 64 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Trump is a desperate pathetic wannabe despot and should be treated like the bitch he is. Tied up to a fuckin post for everyone to gawk at. ICE should be treated with the same contempt.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 23 hours ago

I would also like a pony.

[–] pivot_root@lemmy.world 24 points 21 hours ago

Preventing admission of anyone who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.

Any reasonable interpretation of this means that he just gave the order to keep himself from returning.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The population of those cities combined is around 15 million. He wants to deport millions upon millions. Whatcha gonna do about the crumbling infrastructure and buildings that will become ghost towns and ruins. Can't become great with manufacturing if we don't have people to fill those jobs. Even "great" leaders used slaves he's just making everywhere else greater by giving them back their labor force.

[–] gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Automation + AI will reduce the demand for labor force over the next 15 years.

They've been saying this in some form or another practically since the Industrial Revolution itself. For many of these backbreaking jobs, immigrant laborers are cheaper and more effective than automating them. UPS and FedEx use barcodes and scanners on each package to (try to) ensure that they all get to the right address, but it's still people shoveling them into and out of the vans.

[–] FoxyFerengi@startrek.website 11 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

That's why he's trying to criminalize any ideology besides whatever his is. RFK Jr also talked about "work camps" for people with mental health issues.

[–] 0ndead@infosec.pub 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

RFK’s “wellness camps” are absolutely a part of this

[–] Anti_Iridium@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

They will only take me to a camp in a body bag.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 day ago

Ok courts, time to do your job, put this guy in check. This "official act" is unconstitutional and illegal, come on, do something.

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 8 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

I always find it amusing that Republicans are so stupid they can listen to Trump simultaneously say that immigrants are taking all the good paying jobs but they are also lazy welfare parasites...

[–] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 9 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, that's actually part of the fascist mindset. It brings to mind Umberto Eco's 14 Common Features of Fascism, well, this one, anyway.

  1. The enemy is both strong and weak. “By a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.”

Just as Biden was a doddering old fool who kept falling asleep, he was at the same time was a sinister mastermind running the deep state and destroying America. Modern American conservatives have no difficulty holding opposing concepts like these in mind at the same time. They are immune to cognitive dissonance.

[–] Rancor_Tangerine@lemmy.world 6 points 18 hours ago

They think with their feelings. Whatever strokes their ego, or entertains them, they'll believe.
