Even if these tarrifs were getting guarantees of good paying manufacturing jobs coming to America it would be years before they are realized. Meaning years of economic hardship for those already in dire economic conditions. And with the likelihood of Republicans dismantling what little there is of US safety nets, to give massive tax breaks to those with plenty, it would go from bad to worse to catastrophic before any remote signs of relief.

Also, remodeling ones home is, usually, done because the homeowner wants to and can afford it. Not because someone told them to. This more akin to a contractor breaking into your home and starting a remodel then having the audacity to charge you for it.

I'm sure this time he has learned his lesson.

In 2019 they vandalized 60% of all speed cameras in the country.

They are still pissed over speed cameras. And seemingly more upset over mobile automated speedtrap vans. 50k cameras vandalized and over 2.5k had to be scrapped due to damage costing the French government an estimated 177mil euros.

Simple things like this are why I love the French.

But we don't live in a fantasy Democratic-socialist republic with ranked choice voting and districts without gerrymandering and more than two political parties. We live in this current shithole hellscape called reality and the likelihood of AOC getting the nod or being leader of the DNC is less probable than the second coming. It would be very nice but it ain't happening.
