I recommend picking up a few MG SP-00-N kits specifically for testing paints etc.
I thought “I don’t need to spray a spoon to test the color. I’ll just spray white until I cant see color change.” I thought wrong
Always test a new color or technique with a spoon. Also, were you spraying acrylics? If so, you need to allow ample time for the paint to cure, at least 24 hours. Check the paint label or manufacturer website for details.
Added bonus, keep the spoons with test colors and use them as a color guide when deciding color schemes.
The paint in question was Createx 5131 Transparent White. The top coat was Mr Super Clear Matte. There was 23ish hours between the last coat of color and the application of topcoat.
Edit: So I looked up the data sheet for the paint in question, and based on temp and humidity I should have waited at least 48 hours before topcoat. I will sand everything down, repaint and try to topcoat again after waiting 2 days.
