Alternative to Skype credit (lemmy.world)

I am looking for a reliable and preferably privacy oriented alternative to Skype credit - a service that allows me to call landlines and mobile phones via an app or website. I’ve heard of Yadaphone and Yolla, but I don’t know much about them or where they are based. Do you guys have any experience with these? Do you have other recommendations?

I know this is "buy European", but In North America JMP.Chat is your answer (from memory they are Canadian). It uses XMPP for the client, so you can sign in using their official android app, or you can use any XMPP client, which there are for any basically imaginable platform. Their onboarding and setup wasn't the most intuitive or straightforward when I used it (in 2021 maybe?) but it's still not too bad if you're minimally competent with computers. I think there is also Sudo privacy, but I'm not sure where they are from
