A computer update wasn't going to save the trash engine they use. They just don't want to pay for another engine.
Do be aware those engines can back ordered for weeks or even months. Your car will be down for a while.
Thank you for the information. It’s becoming aggravatingly obvious that they worked out a way to avoid paying for all their seized engines.
And thanks for the heads up on engine availability.
