The war started when Putler invaded Ukraine. Putler can always give back the land he stole and fuck off back home.

Going back home would be the act of giving the land back.

They're intrinsically the same, they're not two separate actions in sequence.

Did you make your comment just because you were emotional and wanted to join in on the chat and say something assertive in support of Ukraine?

It's not technically the same. If Putin withdraws but still disputes ownership of the previously occupied (or any part of Ukraine) then it can cause issues with NATO membership. It is not enough that Russia retreats. They have to officially give up their BS claims too.
