So he hadn't announced Vance as his VP pick.. What would have happened if justice had been served that day. Would Kamala Harris run unopposed?
Definitely not. The convention would still have happened and a candidate would have been nominated to run. The timeline and internal party politics would have been drastically altered, though.
Even if the Repubs didn't nominate someone, there were still third parties running that would have probably just filled the void.
