Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes
This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:
[BB] This enemy is so difficult!
or
[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

A) yeah you can play solo for sure, there's scaling based on party size and some character missions make more sense to do solo anyway.
B) there are a fair number of differences but it's pretty intuitive coming from Elden Ring. Mostly changes to the game's overall speed - youre on a ticking clock in a pretty large map so youve got to make decisions about gear, pathing etc very quickly.
You want to go to churches, Evergaols once you get the relic for them, and anywhere thats gonna drop something useful for you. The map provides a lot of information once you get used to reading it quickly.
Its been a minute since I played either but thats the gist. Its a fun game if youre up for it. Definitely more of a challenge solo, if you find a group just follow them as closely as you can and you'll pick it up.
