It would be a bit like stopping smoking. We'd see some improvements almost straight away, as someone mentioned, look back at the covid lockdowns, but there would also be slower responding, longer term, benefits. The sooner we start, the sooner we get there, and you might not have smoky summers for the rest of your days.
