Work ms account got disabled. IT is clueless, but they restored it. Windows has logged me out, and while I'm logged out the VPN isn't running so now it can't connect to the domain controller to log me back in.

Only way is to travel to the nearest office and plug it in to the company network.

It's 2026...

That's really shit config by your IT though. They could either allow you to login VPN from login screen, or not have domain joined devices and using intune like a good Microslop bootlicker

Yeah -- they can't cope with remote work like we could in 2005 ... When I'd been working my side gig for only 3 years already.

Before I ditched Windows for Linux for work last year, something similar happened to me.

For me (on Windows 10), there was an option to connect to our VPN buried in the extra settings on the login screen, before logging in. I recall it saving me a drive.

Good luck! (or happy driving, I guess).
