A new IRENA report finds that 24/7 “firm” clean energy is cheaper than coal and gas in many parts of the world. The Iran war may catalyze faster adoption.

Unintentionally, most likely, but yeah kinda. As much as I hate having higher prices connected higher fuel cost, I also have schadenfreude for every dickhead with an F150 have to spend $100 every fill up.

it's six dollars plus here. there's a guy who's truck hood is as high as my chest that parks nearby, iirc he's got a 36g fuel tank lol.

tho, while insanely expensive, the idiots are still drag racing up and down a few blocks over - so it isn't painful enough... yet.

so effing glad I bought an ev.
