Re: whatsapp, I'm pretty sure the android and iphone app use the same backup format. You can manually extract them by doing an unencrypted iPhone backup to your PC and extract the data from that. When I tested an iPhone a few years ago, I was able to move my whatsapp data after the initial setup with that. I'm pretty sure there are commercial tools that do the same thing too.

Okay then, that was always allowed

Yeah for tablet view. It's very useful as the default split doesnt provide much readability improvements on a folding phone unless you resize the splits

Counterpoint: it doesn't take off until season 3

It'd be nice if it a feature could be added that would allow you to adjust the size of the list of posts and the comment view. A similar feature is available in Hacki which lets adjust the column size by dragging the divider between the list of posts and the list of comments

On a related note, within the past year microshit made it so you can't join a teams meeting on their android app unless you give it permission to see your phone number

The uni doesnt care. The software vendor does and is threatening the uni for not being compliant.

Except google photos will nag you every few days to enable cloud sync if it's disabled when you open the app and uses dark patterns to nudge towards accepting. I doubt iOS does that.
