How do you how shitty it is or not? Have you examined their code? Do you trust them blindly to let them run arbitrary code on your device? They are preferring to shove their app into our devices for many many reasons that non of them are for our benefit.

And uninstalling right after is closing the gate after the horses are long gone

Edit typos

Whenever someone generalizes a group so drastically like this, I tend to wonder about how limited their life experiences must be.

You don't like their generalizations so you make your own, outstanding.

On similar note, whenever someone is basing their entire lives around some fictional ancient nonsense I wonder the same. Especially when they are so bent on shoving it up everyone's arses.

A nuclear football / knife are not stochastic parrots which capable of stringing coherent sentences together.

I agree llms are in the category of tools, but on the other hand they are no like any other tool and requires adjusting to which needs to happen too fast for most people

What a sane person would want to install a shitty carrier app just for that? There should be a way to do it via their web ui in the least

Another possibly viable solution would be to focus our energy on creating tools that detects llm slop with certainty and embed them everywhere.

Throwing more generated llm trash into the air will only increase confusion and will backfire / have unexpected results.

Platforms like Xitter and Facebook et el should be eliminated and dismantled. We should take back the internet and free it once again

Reminds me of the 'joke' where a secretary goes into her bosses' office with a high stack of résumés, puts it on his desk. He then randomly takes half a pile and throws it in the garbage. The secretary, surprised and a bit shocked, asks him why did you do that for? Those are perfectly good résumés. To which he replies I don't hire unlucky people.

Not sure why you got downvoted; I agree with every word. What's the solution though? How to handle this disconnect as a developer?

They spammed to let them know they stopped spamming.
