It looks like it's a signalized crossing now. Depending on the timing settings of the traffic lights and the speed limit this can be better for people walking. Particularly when it has a sensor to see when everyone is done crossing.

Zebra crossings can be very challenging for disabled people, like visual impairments and mobility issues. These groups can feel very vulnerable using such a crossing because there is no auditory confirmation.

There might be better solutions though if the speed limit is lowered.

The provision of parking is expensive, so it used to be subsidized significantly. Many people go to the hospital by public transport. It wouldn't be fair to them that there'd be less money available for healthcare services because the NHS is subsidizing parking.

It's okay not to know. English is spoken in a lot of different places in different ways. I doubt that in your 40 years you've explored this.

Google Trends shows that it's most popular in Malaysia and the Philippines, relative to its use in other countries.

Yea, screw this kind of stuff.

Most people on here will know vegetarians or in some cases be one. It's a respectable choice that takes a lot of willpower and energy. People who make fun of that aren't my crowd. Mostly because it's a dick thing to do.
