The US has a track record of manufactured reasons to invade a country. Look for some incident in the near future which the US blames on Greenland.

Putin is the only person this benefits. Shattering NATO with a bullshit excuse. If America ends up fighting Europe it draws resources away from Ukraine.
Loses? They let them go. Laid them off.
A loss would be them quitting after finding new work, or moving out of the country.
I'm not saying the hospital can afford to staff itself if Medicaid funding is cut, but call a spade a spade.
Also, for-profit hospitals are part of the problem. Hospital is a service like the mail, not a profit center.
If the hospitals were run with care in mind they would try to absorb the excess costs during this fuckup while continuing to provide care. Instead they're cutting staff and thus not treating the Medicaid patients.

Also.. Taking a baby away at 18 months does nothing but harm the child and the mother.
If the crime is minor enough that they can be trusted with a baby then let them out of prison.
If the crime is worse then arrange supervised visits throughout the day if possible, for both the parents and babies sake.
People shouldn't be in prison. The community would be better off giving the mothers extra support to overcome the hardships they have.
Obviously, some parents are deadbeats and it won't matter what is done, but in those cases this law doesn't help anyway.
Nobody is doing anything malicious. This didn't start happening until reddit went public and decided to block their API.
What's probably happening is they're worried too many requests are coming from one ip address and you might be scraping their precious data to train your LLM.

The solution to this problem isn't to ask a corrupt government to save you. They've already proven their word is worth jack by reversing policies of the previous administration. You should instead be trying everything possible to stop climate change. Including throwing money at the problem.
