Loses? They let them go. Laid them off.
A loss would be them quitting after finding new work, or moving out of the country.
I'm not saying the hospital can afford to staff itself if Medicaid funding is cut, but call a spade a spade.
Also, for-profit hospitals are part of the problem. Hospital is a service like the mail, not a profit center.
If the hospitals were run with care in mind they would try to absorb the excess costs during this fuckup while continuing to provide care. Instead they're cutting staff and thus not treating the Medicaid patients.
