This is the third magnetic sheet I use like this. I like it.

Thanks!

I don't have them at hand right now, but they must be barely over an inch on the short side.

Ah, well... if you do end up making a bunch of small maps, perhaps you could share them with us?

Let me know when it looks like I have an addiction. 😅

Magnetic cave tiles (ttrpg.network)

Second verse, same as the first,,,

... but this time it's mostly caves.

So... I bought a few magnetic sheets with glue. placed a bunch of dungeon tiles and then cut them to size.

The squigly line to the left of the pit is a curtain of magical darkness (I probably got this idea out of one of the 2e Undermountain boxes).

The curtain itself is one of my favourite things to include in a random corridor in a megadungeon (and change whatever is behind it). Often, the curtain also blocks sound in my games. I usually manage to restrain myself and not overuse it though.

It's coming together.. I already have a few small pieces, and I'm adding many even smaller rooms.

I think it’s just because Lemmy (and the fediverse) doesn’t yet have a critical mass.

Before creating !scifi@ttrpg.network I was thinking about creating a community for Traveller alone. But I decided to poll several other places beforehand. Not a lot of people showed interest. That’s why I decided to create a more general community.

I share your need for activity. I really do. I just don’t have much to offer. At least at the moment. I’ve been dabbling with mapmaking lately, but I’m not prolific enough. I have plans, oh yes, quite a few ideas brewing and bubbling, but nothing to show. Yet.

It’s very common, expected really, to have many more consumers than producers in any social network. But I’m still here. And I’d bet a few more are also around. Lurking? (I love that word when used so casually)

We’re listening.

Just a crack in the stone... it's just meant to break the white space. But of course, you can insert a subplot.

Last month, Graham Richardson (Lionhearth Games) organized the TripTech Game Jam, where contestants would create Tripanels (you know, the form factor of those pamphlets that fold in three) for Mothership.

Anyway, all 39 submissions are listed at the bottom of the page:

https://itch.io/jam/triptech-game-jam-052025

I found out about this jam thanks to this video by Dave Thaumavore in which he talks about the experience of being part of the jam and then shows off a few of the tripanels.

Thanks!

Tiny maps are very forgiving. And they’ve helped me improve my skills over time.

Nah. I’m not that good.

Maybe I’m not even plain good, but that’s too lengthy a discussion for here. 😅

Perhaps not with those exact names, but there’s a fix:

Do you happen to remember the name of the game?

[–] roflo1@ttrpg.network 1 points 1 month ago

Nothing in particular in mind. And certainly nothing new. Just wanted to make something out of the 100+ micro maps I’ve done.

Ah, looks like this is the 100th post in this community.

Didn't think to post anything special, heh.
