I was giving him positive reinforcement his first year (honestly thought it would work with him to reinforce the good things he does), this year is the brutal truth year.

I read Ender's Game for almost every book report in middle school :)

More Sci fi than dystopian, but I still recommend

I am genuinely having a hard time with my Gen Z employee. I have to go through everything step by step each time and it just seems like nothing sticks. I even create documentation for him and he just can't follow it fully.

I'm truly baffled and any advice is welcome.

Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City is a very decent movie. It doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

I like to ask folks what they do for fun, gives me a better general idea of who they are

I just can't imagine being able to eat anything with that fork, would rather use my fingers

For me it updates frequently and changes a lot of little things (like button placement, or defaults) that just don't need to be updated.

I work in a fairly toxic work environment.

The reasons I do what the engineers are doing are,

  1. A lot of times people will ask me questions and I give them answers. Then something will go wrong and it will somehow be my fault that I didn't mention it to them (they didn't ask, and I don't know the specifics of what they are doing).

  2. I have my own goals and projects for the year. Why should I give you a significant amount of my time when my salary/bonus will not reflect helping you in anyway.

  3. Job security.

These might sound bad, but that is how it works in corporate America

Edit: It sounds like you need management on board with you before you can fully continue

Similar boat recently, talked to an FA and am now investing. Also got a life insurance policy and LTD policy just in case...

Wanting expensive designer clothes/accessories.

One, I hate spending money. Two, I'd worry about ruining them too much to ever want to wear/use them. Three, they just generally aren't comfortable.

I work at a place where data quality is not on anyone's radar. We have a reporting team in our group so we do our best where we can, but combining any datasets with other groups (like marketing & sales) is next to impossible as each team is silo'd and do things their own way - think free-form text fields to tag content...

How can I politely and succinctly say the above? Also, anyone else in a similar boat?

Just curious if anyone has any advice for my situation. I am a petite lady who needs to wear business / business casual outfits for work. I've been lifting heavy for the past year or so and my arms no longer fit into my long sleeve shirts (biceps/Triceps are too big). Is there a brand / store / service anyone can recommend so I can buy more fitting business attire? Thanks!
