Another example : roddenbury wanted the 1st officer to be a woman on TOS, and shot the pilot with Majel Barret in the role, well before they were married. The studio shot it down and ordered a new pilot.

The charector arcs in the show are complex, especially for the early 90s. Sisko is largely an honorable man, but the nature of the roles he assumes strain him, force him in difficult directions.

The marquies in a lot of ways are personal to him. A dear friend defects to them early, and then he gets rolled later by others he trusts. He basically has direct bad blood with them.

Some of the other choices he makes? Fucked up, but to the shows credit, they lean into it and dont pretend hes the good guy when they happen.

Good call out, but it looks like they didnt include their name on the wallet stamp, which is an odd choice.

You would think if you were going to brashly embed an ad for your patreon in the panel, it would include your name to prevent it being cropped.

Australians demonstrating their abilty to be incredibly unreasonable in fighting them, but also incredibly reasonable in giving up.

Diced and then steeped in apple cider vinegar + brown sugar for 30 minutes?

I love the loony toons personally. It fits the slapdash nature of the show. The color of arms felt like "I'm a serious thing that you should take serious" except that One piece is too ludicrous to be serious. It's bombastic and unbelievable, so fuck it.

"I'm a god damn cartoon" as luffys actually power is just a love letter to the whole theme of a ridiculous show.

What is "well enough?"

If $100 locally can help 3 people survive but $100 globally helps 30-300 people survive, when is it the right time to stop giving locally?

"Give locally" is quipy and has some truth, but there is nuance it excludes.

Yeah, Terraform or it's FOSS fork would be ideal, but many of these infrastructures are setup by devs, using the "immediately in front of them" tools that each cloud presents. Decoupling everything back to neutral is the same nightmare as migrating any stack to any other stack.

Pile of blugeons, burnless pyre, fallen limbs, on and on.

We got options here.

Only if you engineered your stack using vendor neutral tools, which is not what each cloud provider encourages you to do.

Then the adminstrative overhead of multi-cloud gets phenomenally painful.
