FYI, grapheneos primary aim is security and not offering a degoogled os. The community generally even prefers installing applications through google play, which someone may choose to install.

If you visit the grapheneos forum, it is generally not a preferable choice, for security reasons.

If only osm had better search and complete addresses...

Can I set the sharing to permanent?

I too was trying to find alternatives to these services but I could not.

I saw a github "thread" ones for organic maps, but it did not get traction... They could make it a paid service as that are trusted by the community to handle that data.

There was a new application, I do not remember the name of it... But it was using google play services which I did not add to my OS.

I found the app through howtomen's YouTube channel, let me know if you need it, I will search for it.

Edit: If you have the skills, you could setup/self-host owntracks, which I could not do, securely.

And you'll just re-hit the red button.

Which one is the Greek community? Those that I found are dead.

Much better, thanks.

You carry this community alone!

Is that confirmed though?

Hello, I use graohene and by default there is not a TTS application installed.

Do you have any recommendations that work well with organic maps?

Solution(!) Known issue for some Western digital drives.

https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/51469

Download the dashboard and update the firmware.

Original:

Hello all, Any advice on this would be appreciated.

My brother's build gets the BSOD "Critical Process Died" at random times.

Fresh OS Install I have installed all drivers from MSI B650 -S except for integrated graphics as I have disabled them.

I have stress tested the CPU and GPU and all was good. I run a short ram test and all was good. chkdsk found errors and fixed them. (faulty drive?)

SFC always reports corrupted files even after clean install. (Downloaded new ISO, checked hash)

DISM reports Error: 0x800f081f

I removed the expo profile but the issue persists. Could this be a detached connector? (I do not have physical access to the device.)

Components:

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X

Western Digital SN770

G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32GB DDR5

MSI Pro B650-S WIFI Be Quiet Pure Power 12 M 850W

4070 Super Gigabyte

Good day,

Could someone advise on this? For some reason firefox does not want to use the kde theming, menus, title bars, pop ups etc.

As per attached, that should state "Breeze" just like in arch and opensuse.

Re-installing does not help, I have the auto-system theme selected.

(!)Solution:

Settings > Application Style > GNOME/GTK Application Style

If you have installed Fedora KDE it should be set to breeze by default.

  1. Change it to the "default" option and then apply.
  2. Change it back to breeze then apply and you should be set.

Hello all,

I have started experimenting again with a local server and I am facing a few issues, here is my case.

I run Debian o an old HP prebuilt without GUI. I do everything with ssh from my laptop (basic connection ssh user@addr)

I have installed docker. I have installed a few containers. I also installed portainer for easier management.

All good so far because everything is local.

I have purchased a domain with cloudflare and set up a tunnel as to avoid exposing any ports and having an easier time managing and deploying stuff.

I have set up jellyfin and vaultwarden but when I tried to install nextcloud AIO it was advised to add a local reverse proxy as to avoid many problems.

My questions are:

Is the tunnel solution appropriate for jellyfin?

I suppose it's OK for vaultwarden as there isnt much data being transfered?

Would it be better to run nginx proxy manager for everything or can I run both of the solutions?

Any general recommendations on the above and in general are appreciated!

Hello,

For the two people that probably have chosen to use the option to import a file through the KDE settings.

If you face the issue where you still see your IP and ISP on ip.me, that might be due to the WiFi configuration having the ipv6 enabled.

Go to WiFi settings and disable the ipv6, reconnect and you should be good to go.

Hello all,

I am running fedora with mullvad (wireguard) straight from the network settings with a configuration file.

According to https://mullvad.net/en/check everything is fine but I want to know if I am set for torrenting now that they have removed port forwarding and I cannot bind qbittorrent to the vpn.

Should I adjust anything or am I set? What was the benefit of port forwarding?
