I normally use the version (pictured to the right) from the F-Droid repo. I was curious about what features the version (pictured to the left) from the IzzyOnDroid repo had since it supposedly has non-free components and promotes non-free network services. After testing it and comparing it for a few minutes I can't really find any differences. The package names and file sizes are different though. Does anybody else know?

I think I started with Mint 13. After hopping around for years I'm now on Debian.
I recommend Mint to people in general. It's perfect for most people. We shouldn't be required to learn about everything in the world.
I don't expect anyone to become a mechanic just because they need a car. If that were a requirement then most people would just not get a car. It's also okay to continue driving and never becoming a mechanic later.

Exactly. So for example if you are browsing [email protected] and see a post that is marked "video" you can tap that and continue to browse [email protected] while only seeing posts marked with "video". That is how it works in Infinity which is what Eternity is based on.
You can open it by tapping the thumbnail.
If that does not work you can go to Settings, Miscellaneous, Link Handler and then choose External App.
It depends entirely on how you both communicate. I haven't said it to my sister either and didn't realise before reading your post. It's all fine as long as you have a good relationship.
