Hi Australia.

I'm planning on voting as is my duty and my privilege at the upcoming election.

I'm going to preface by saying that I don't want my votes to go to the Dark Lord or the Liberal Party or the liars in the Labour Party. They are both completely corrupt and I'm adamant that they need to feel some pain.

So then I want to look at the independents and consider what they do and what they don't do, and will they be truly representative, or are they just there scrambling for votes to get some money and power? Who can say?

So what I'd like to do to make sure the Liberals and Labour don't get my vote, is find some kind of flowchart, that shows if I vote for an independent or a smaller party, where does that preference go to, so that I don't feed the party that I don't want to get my vote in the end.

Is there any resource out there that can show me where the preferences get fed to, so I can make an informed choice.

I feel like this should be a legal obligation, that we are all given this kind of information in a flowchart. But I can't find it. Can anybody help?

Thank you so much.

If you are into 3D printing, put it on your resume. That shows incredible problem-solving capabilities. We hired someone recently and only found out afterwards that she was into 3D printing as a hobby. If she'd have put that in her resume, she would have gone right to the top at the start. This was for a technical problem-solving, support role.

I have been yes, and the people were indeed friendly. Same with Vietnam, and others. However, the Taiwanese people were just so, so, genuinely helpful, friendly and kind. I was taken aback.

Taiwan for sure. What lovely people.

Haha it's just like that, huh.

Note the fly in the bottom left corner.

I assume it must be quite smelly to attract that?

Also. That first wipe can be quite a thing. You can always start with the bulk wipe. But you've never been cleaner than with a bidet.

Asian people have culture shock, when they move to Australia, due to no bidet, and having to smudge poop with paper.

I want one that has the sort of vibration pulse wash. It cleans you. Very well

Yup. I'm going to get the full warm water, bells and whistles version.

I art. I do love ai for the lulz, however, actual commercial art? Absolutely not. It's not an end product. It's fun, it's inspiring.

"If being gay was a choice, I'd be gayer".

Pretty cool shirt. We should get one for The Dark Lord.

I wrote a few useful utility bots back in the old days when reddit was a thing.

I just remembered them now, thinking it'd be useful to write a new one to help some of our art communities. (More on that latet)

Is there a bot framework, or similar for lemmy? Some docs? Some boilerplate code maybe? Just something I can sink into and learn.

Thanks so much

Hi all,

We are purchasing a new laptop for a new employee.

We'll be booting directly into bios, changing settings as required, and installing linux immediately (either Fedora or POP).

However, we've only ever run intel machines.

Does anyone know if this could potentially cause any issues? We want a set and forget experience (have had that with intels).

System specs for the Ryzen version

Processor AMD Ryzen™ 7 7735U Processor (2.70 GHz up to 4.75 GHz) Operating System

Windows 11 Pro 64 (being removed immediately)

Graphic Card Integrated AMD Radeon™ 680M

Memory 16 GB DDR5-4800MT/s (SODIMM)(2 x 8 GB)

Storage 512 GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 TLC Opal

Display 14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 45%NTSC, 300 nits, 60 Hz

Camera 1080p FHD IR Hybrid with Microphone and Privacy Shutter

Battery 3 Cell Li-Polymer 47 Wh

AC Adapter / Power Supply 65W

WIFI Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX & Bluetooth® 5.1 or above

Colour Graphite Black

Weight 1.53kgs / 3.37lbs

Part Number: 21M3003DAU

I should add the intel version here for comparison, I feel it has a little more happening:

System specs:

Processor 13th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-1355U Processor (E-cores up to 3.70 GHz P-cores up to 5.00 GHz)

Operating System Windows 11 Pro 64

Graphic Card Integrated Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics

Memory 16 GB DDR4-3200MHz(8 GB Soldered + 8 GB SODIMM)

Storage 512 GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 TLC Opal

Display 14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 45%NTSC, 300 nits, 60 Hz

Camera 1080p FHD RGB with Microphone and Privacy Shutter

Battery 3 Cell Li-Polymer 47 Wh

AC Adapter / Power Supply 65W

Fingerprint Reader

Pointing Device Trackpad

Keyboard Backlit, Black - English (US)

WIFI Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211 2x2 AX & Bluetooth® 5.1 (Windows 10) or Bluetooth® 5.3 (Windows 11)

Colour Black

Weight 1.47kgs / 3.23lbs

Part Number: 21JK00P5AU

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much! Torn on the intel VS the Ryzen

Hi all,

I have an Intel NUC Skull Canyon. It's running POP_OS!

I purchase a microSD card, and it came with an SD Adaptor.

I've plugged it in, but nothing shows in files.

I have run lsusb, lspci, and even:

sudo lsblk -o MODEL,NAME,FSTYPE,LABEL,MOUNTPOINT,SIZE

However it's just not showing up anywhere.

The microSD is brand new, and a model called:

SAMSUNG 512 EVO Plus A2 V30.

I am not sure if the card is maybe so new, that linux can't see it yet? I doubt that.

I wonder if anyone has any ideas? I don't have another SD Adaptor, nor any other computer with an SD or microSD slot.

Thanks so muchy

Very exciting
