I'm starting to be convinced this is one of the many intrinsic flaws to the way we're governing ourselves. It's an inevitable slippery slope, we'll keep ending up having to deal with it periodically as long as we don't change stuff in significant ways.

Edit: I think we need to approach them as our body would a splinter, or a zit. Just squeeze'em out. As I see it, Fascism is fundamentally inimical to life itself, could even compare it to a viral infection. Sure, some infection is inevitable even when squeezing out the splinter, but chances are good that it won't develop beyond anything superficial if we provide an appropriate immune response and treatment afterwards.

I'll still call him The Orange Man, would do it to his face. I get the feeling it's one of those insults which he plays off like a cool guy because he can't afford an honest reaction, but is eating him up deep inside. I can't miss out on that possibility.

That meat looks more lively than I do.

Yeaah, I kept postponing in the hopes that something sane would happen and they'd release an official port, but it's looking like "never", so...

PC should handle it, 9th gen i7, 4080 Super, and as much RAM as my MoBo can hold. Beefy SSD, too.

Rhymes with "forlorn..." Don't own a PS, can't justify the expense. Otherwise, it may actually be my favourite of theirs. The art style is almost perfect Gothic Horror in my opinion, and what I've seen of the faster combat tickles me greatly, as I love being aggressive since DS3.

I am planning on trying out the emulated version once I can clear up a larger chunk of time.

Edit: and, to add, you should play DS2 :P :)))

True, I got lucky and managed to squeeze into the Lego craze early on, I had a lot of Bionicle sets from almost every run (because mum really liked the aesthetic). It's why I don't bother figuring out different limb designs unless I build larger stuff, Bionicle has me covered:))

Yes, completely agree, Raven have produced great stories framed by solid gameplay with neat twists every now and again. It does feel Of The Times™, that weapn upgrade system simply HAD to be there:)))

Thank you! It was a long, long... lllong process of procrastinating trial and error=)))

All I can say with certainty is that this is the centerpiece:

Used one of these as the seat piece, with the long end pointed upward. I then reinforced around it with several more brackets focusing on finishing up the enclosure. The entire build's focus was "Technic minifig scale mech suit," so everything was built to prioritise a functional, structurally sound, and aesthetically coherent mech core design. The limbs are just there, pretty much, cheapest and quickest integration builds I could think of.

It uses 100% ball joint for the limbs, the newer Bionicle stuff which is designed for single-plane swivel. The arms are connected to two of these (one on each side):

I placed them vertically and used the lower ball for the arm joint. Initially wanted to use the upper ones as weapon mounts then pauldron mounts, but they're now vestigial.

I then built the "hips" as an extension connected to the seat itself, around one of these:

The arms and legs are pretty basic, it's the design visible in my first post, on top of which I slapped as many angled slates as I could while keeping the armored plating within 2u of thickness overall. Same principle for the pilot enclosure, that one's essentially a bracket-based cockpit (lifting canopy included, that one's two bi-angled brackets on a swivel) and the angled slates are attached directly to that.

It's not a 100% "legal" build, I took advantage of flexibility, used those 3u blue studs to force some angles I couldn't get otherwise, but that's just for aesthetics. The main structure, the skeleton as it were, is 100% legal and as sturdy as I could possibly make it while also keeping it thin. It's a very tight fit for my Technic dude, but eh...

Edit: oh, and the "head" is just decorative, it's a dirty improv I did to cover up the middle plane on top of the canopy/bi-angled brackets. I may work on it some more down the line, give it a proper mount point and some swivel.

Edit 2: tried taking some more detail photos, hopefully they manage to convey the pure improvisation which went into this thing=)) Lotsa' creaking plastic and pinched skin!=)))

Raven really did right by the Strogg! Q4 finally made me appreciate the species and their lore (or hints of lore, rather). The characters are also unexpectededly fleshed out for what's essentially still a shoot-em-up.

And that one scene was a brilliant subversion! Very well integrated into the narrative, too!

Merkel was a plant. I get the feeling most of Merkel's phone is spam, ads, and poorly focused photos. Fitting sacrifice to keep the spies thinking they were winning.

Yep:)) Sorry, they're pretty hit or miss, thought I'd give it a shot regardless:))

Future Of The Left, on the other hand, are more consistent, yes. I've honestly not properly digested their latest work, I've been mainlining the two albums I mentioned. Those two I wholeheartedly recommend!

Heads up, though, they play around a lot with song structures and themes, so their discography is pretty varied in terms of sound.
