I have made so many people use Signal now. I sell it as, "I'm on Android. Signal gives us all of the features of iMessage and facetime" no need to mention the privacy concerns unless they are the kind of person who cares.

How is it feature wise? Parity with xmpp/matrix? Better?
Hugo builds obsidian notes? I know it's just markdown. But there are some things specific to obsidian. Like the double bracket to link to other notes in the same vault.
Gog galaxy is awful. Heroic launcher is great though!
It's not just audio. I have an nvidia shield plugged directly into the receiver and it passes the video to the TV and handles the audio. The Steam Deck doesn't do anything on the receiver. Even when I try using the same HDMI port and cable.
Plugging the Steam Deck dock directly into the TV is fine, however.
I appreciate that you are trying to cover all of your bases. But, I did mention that it works directly on the TV.
I did not mention that I've tried multiple docks though. Also, both have external power. I googled it and it seems like PCs often have issues with av receivers. I just can't figure out a way to fix it automatically in gaming mode. I haven't done much testing in desktop mode though either.

Huh? They officially support it and there is no need for a version any more. It's standardised. As a matter of fact, if you try to start a compose stack that starts with a version number it gives you a warning that it's not needed.
