Wow. What did Seinfeld do to you?

NIN is the blue ring. 😆

100% agree. Climate change too, but national security if nothing else.

The plan Putin and Xi have is probably to get the US mired in conflicts with Mexico and Canada, which would leave Europe isolated and more willing to deal with Russia. Russia has a lot of energy reserves, and they want to use them as leverage against Europe. Control of Ukraine energy reserves should be a top priority for Russia.

The US is sending lots of oil/ng over to Europe to make cutting off Russian oil feasible. Without US oil, Europe is going to have a hard time functioning, and they would have to start talking with the Russians.

Why WSL? Because I’d be setting up a Linux VM anyway.

Microsoft software and NinjaRMM screen sharing. Ninja and MS SQL management tools are the biggest blockers since the web versions of M365 are adequate.

I’m probably going to invest in some hardware to get powerful enough VMs.

I have a company issued laptop and work for a Microsoft partner.

It would be nice if they’d give me an AVD session or twelve.

This ethereal concept titled “Work” is pointing a pistol towards me.

But yeah. Windows is trash. I’m going to go submit resumes and buy lottery tickets.

Isolating the US and breaking US hegemony. Trump is a Putin puppet, and what’s best for Russia is crippling the US economically and diplomatically. Alienating the EU cuts off the EU from the US who would otherwise help the Europeans against the Russians as they try to reclaim their former territories.

This also helps China who is trying to replace the US as the world superpower. BRICS is doing a good job of creating a competing economic alliance, and the US falling apart helps make it more attractive.

Not a conservative, by the way. Just someone who follows the news.

MZLA is a different subsidiary of the Mozilla Foundation.

It was community maintained, then MZLA Corp was formed under the Mozilla Foundation. Deals to house Thunderbird under other foundations fell through, which is why it’s still under the Mozilla Foundation.

Does anyone have USB-C dock recommends?

I have a Thinkpad P1 gen 4 running Fedora I’m going to be using as my desktop replacement, and I’m looking for a Linux friendly dock.

I don’t need the dock to do much. Ideally, it could drive 2x 4K DisplayPort displays, have a 2.5Gb+ Ethernet port, and a couple USB-A ports, but 2x 2K DisplayPort and 1GbE work too.

Preferred price is <$150.
