Thanks, I found the message. That was it

Just tried to open my mail with SDF's webmail client, and my browser asked for authorization to view the site. Anyone else getting this?

(screenshot is on imgur as I cannot upload images to lemmy.sdf.org)

Edit: Looks like mail is working in general (from other clients, like mailx or K-9). Seems to be an issue specifically with mx.sdf.org/sm. My browser shows the authorization popup as it gets redirected to mx.sdf.org.

Edit 2: Looks like SDF added webpage auth for SquirrelMail:

We're going back to have webpage auth enabled for SquirrelMail which will reset once a week. To get the current auth to load the page, please run 'webmail' at the shell. Once you have that, authenticate to load the page and then login to your account to bring up SquirrelMail webmail.

I've been a Thunder user for a while. Just tried out Summit, and it has been much smoother and polished for me.

This is great. Samsung's foundry is absolutely trash compared to TSMC.

I gave up. I moved my personal pixelfed account to pixelfed.social

I just created an account on pixelfed.sdf.org, and every single time I upload a picture, the post gets marked as spam. I get the e_autospam.warning::1403355 warning.

I've contacted the pixelfed admins of that instance and they mentioned that on their end my account looks fine. Is another instance marking me as spam? I can't post globally at all...

Just wanted to share my experiences with Wi-Fi 7 on my Framework 13 and 16. Attached is a picture of a rebranded QCNCM865 card I bought on Ebay. I've tried this and one from MSI on both the Framework 13 AMD and Framework 16.

On Linux this chip works out-of-the-box if the distro uses a newer version of the kernel. It "worked" on Linux 6.12, but dropped connection often under usage. The card works perfectly fine with no issues on Linux 6.13. I've tested both Fedora and NixOS with the Wi-Fi card.

Windows doesn't support the card by default. I had to install Windows on a wired connection and install this MSI driver. The card works perfectly fine on Windows with no issues.

This card is an even better choice than the default Mediatek card for Wi-Fi 6E.

Why did it take so long

Plain Arch has a super easy TUI installer now. There's no need to manually install it anymore except in speed-run competitions.

I'm on SDF's Mastodon instance, specifically social.sdf.org for members, and I am have issues with custom emoji from other instances as shown in the picture.

Does anyone else have this issue? Instances like mastodon.sdf.org and social.sdfeu.org don't have this problem.
