I viewed this.

This is about 93 min long. Couldn't finish. I read an ai summary.

Then @peterkuchynskyi (Peter) replied. I watched.

Then I viewed 11:16 โžก๏ธ 37:24 of this.

But no need to view the 4 vids. Just wanna share my opinion.

I've liked @dave2d, @gsmarenaofficial and @themrmobile for so long sans ๐Ÿค” re the conflicts of interest from early access and affiliate links. Peter opened my ๐Ÿ‘€. I ๐Ÿค” a review shouldn't have early access from the firm, affiliate links and promo codes. Links and promo codes for items unrelated to the reviewed item are OK. The Youtuber shouldn't get free accessories to or peripherals for the judged item. The native or integrated ad should be unrelated to the judged item. A very high bar, maybe. But we can't read the Youtuber's ๐Ÿง . We don't know if he's honest and not softening the item's cons. We need the review to stress the pros and the cons. Not inflating the pros; not deflating the cons. So he needs to have near 0 conflict of interest. 0 is impossible. Example, more Pixel ๐Ÿ“ฑ sales mean richer Alphabet. The Youtubers are on Youtube โ€“ under Alphabet.

I must stress that a lying Youtuber with near 0 conflict of interest is possible. We need honest and independent reviewers.

Per Peter (in his 2nd vid), he was OK with an ad of a seemingly ๐Ÿ‘Ž item if the ad was unrelated to the judged item. No. A reviewer should tout ๐Ÿ‘ items and services that he himself tried or uses. A sign of high integrity.

Peter disliked ads re online betting. Yes! It has ruined so many lives.

I ๐Ÿค” the top reason Peter cited @mkbhd was views.

Oneplus was the brand of the specs chaser. Great specs; clean Android skin; cheaper than the Samsung or Apple flagship. examples โ€“ Oneplus 7 pro and Oneplus 8 pro

Then they increased the cost. They made Oxygenos more like Coloros.

[โ€“] drawerair@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (3 children)

I didn't follow Oneplus in recent years. I asked Chatgpt re their budget ๐Ÿ“ฑ. Per Chatgpt, they made ๐Ÿ‘ budget ๐Ÿ“ฑ like the Nord 5 and the Nord CE5.

Nothing didn't take their place. The Nothing design and the Oneplus design have been different.

I want more folks to experience long ๐Ÿ”‹ life. Oneplus 15 won the best ๐Ÿ”‹ life award โ€“ @mkbhd. The Europeans and the North Americans have 1 less choice with this news. Will Oneplus 16 have a global version? Those not living in China can buy the Chinese version. But the ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ version will have some cons for those not living in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ. examples โ€“ Oneplus 15 ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ version doesn't have Gemini baked in (can be installed by the user) and esim support

๐Ÿ“ฑ firms have chased faster charging for a long ๐Ÿ•‘ now. What if the trend of higher efficiency starts? Electricity isn't free. What if the charger makers market the efficiency markedly? There may be an efficiency race, just like the long-running power race. Some may pick a 370-W but more efficient charger over a 400-W but less efficient 1. I'm talking re the future, so mad values. Ideally, the engineers can make a 400-W and incredibly efficient charger. Thoughts?

I used to dislike the removal of the ๐ŸŽง jack in many Android ๐Ÿ“ฑ. For earphones, I preferred wired to Bluetooth. But many of my wired earphones broke. My Soundpeats trueshift2 lasted a few years before dying. My Soundcore a20i has seemed tough. both Bluetooth

So I've preferred Bluetooth earphones for a few months now. Charging has been a hassle but the toughness has been so ๐Ÿ‘.

Nothing mistitled their latest vid. Per Carl, the "a" line got much sales and they'll have a new "a" line this year. They won't make a ๐Ÿ“ฑ with the 8 elite gen 5 this year. But there was no 4a teaser. He didn't talk re the specs. Didn't talk re the design. He didn't say if there'll be a 4a pro and a 4a ultra. Most of the vid isn't re the "a" line. My issue has been the title. Please edit the title. The chapters immediately say the vid is mostly re other stuff โ€“

Watson and Gordon should try to score more. In a scoring slump, Gordon should force his way in for a dunk or a layup.

Murray crushed the Lakers in the previous years. It seemed his shot accuracy percent rose by 10% when he faced the Lakers in the previous years.๐Ÿ‘ to see him lose now.

Gpt high was better than Gemini pro for me in the previous months. ๐Ÿ•‘ will tell if Gemini 3 deep think is great.

Gemini 3 deep think seems ๐Ÿ‘. I'll try it. My 2nd pick is Gpt 5.1 high. My 3rd pick is Claude sonnet 4.5 โ€“ thinking. The llm race is still ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

I asked Claude 4 opus (thinking) re sunlight hitting a solar cell. Per Claude, the infrared wavelengths near the visible light wavelengths are the most efficient. But a big part of the sunlight is visible light, so a big part of the electrical energy from a solar cell is from visible light.

Also, per Claude, "When light strikes an n-type monocrystalline silicon solar cell, photons must have sufficient energy to promote electrons from the valence band to the conduction band across silicon's bandgap. Silicon has a bandgap energy of approximately 1.12 electron volts (eV) at room temperature, which corresponds to a wavelength of about 1107 nanometers. This means photons with wavelengths longer than 1107 nm (energy less than 1.12 eV) cannot generate electron-hole pairs in silicon and pass through the material without contributing to electrical current. The relationship between photon energy and wavelength follows the equation E = hc/ฮป, where E is energy, h is Planck's constant, c is the speed of light, and ฮป is wavelength. Using this relationship, we can understand how different portions of the solar spectrum interact with silicon. Infrared radiation spans wavelengths from about 700 nm to 1 mm, with energies ranging from approximately 1.77 eV down to 0.001 eV. Only the near-infrared portion up to about 1107 nm can be absorbed by silicon. Photons in the 700-1107 nm range have energies between 1.77 and 1.12 eV, making them ideal for silicon solar cells as they have just enough energy to create electron-hole pairs with minimal excess energy lost as heat. Visible light extends from 400 to 700 nm, corresponding to energies of 3.1 to 1.77 eV. All visible photons have more than enough energy to overcome silicon's bandgap. However, the excess energy above 1.12 eV is largely wasted through thermalization, where hot carriers quickly lose their extra energy as heat. This fundamental thermalization loss limits the theoretical efficiency of single-junction silicon cells. Ultraviolet light, with wavelengths below 400 nm, carries energies above 3.1 eV. While UV photons are readily absorbed by silicon, their high excess energy results in significant thermalization losses. Additionally, UV photons are often absorbed very near the surface of the cell, where recombination rates are typically higher, further reducing their contribution to the cell's output current. The high surface recombination and thermalization losses make UV photons particularly inefficient for silicon solar cells despite their high energy."

I know re llm hallucination so I googled. I verified the energy formula and silicon's energy gap.

Has Claude been right?

Yes this isn't a new thing. Weeks ago I read a headline talking re a Microsoft ad in the Windows lock screen. I didn't have ads in my lock screen but I can imagine the annoyance for those who had ads.

Windows 11 didn't enable Onedrive in my Documents, Pictures and others. I've used local storage since I bought my ๐Ÿ’ป. I hope Windows 11 won't suddenly enable Onedrive. Folks will riot if they'll do such a ๐Ÿ’ฉ act.

No. The promotions annoyed me but not extremely. Anyway, it's been ๐Ÿ‘ to know I could always switch to Linux. There's @level1linux if I wanna know more re Linux. I think Wendell's an expert.

Saw this just now. Don't have many memories re my April 13. On April 10 my tummy was extremely painful and I puked. Diarrhea, I think. I took loperamide. I rested on the succeeding days, including 13. On 15 I was ๐Ÿ’ฏ. No more pain.

On another note, the past few days were OK. Hot weather but I endured. I oft thought re ๐Ÿ‘ food and drinks. Those were some of the stuff that made me :).
