I would say sunshine, but from personal experience the encoder never works and your stuck with horrible fps. Parsec is magic.

4k? My 3070 can't even get close to 60fps 4k on most games

I like my ultrawides curved, but wouldn't want a 16:9 curved.

Something has always felt off. Swiss security is always a red flag, and free is never truly free. Don't really know who you can trust at this point. Everything seems to turn to shit as some point or another.

Edit: I understand they get funding elsewhere and it subsidizes the free VPN, the free VPN also brings in customers. I thought that was obvious enough not to mention.

I accidentally bought a game that didn't have English in the region I bought it in and they wouldn't refund me.

I wish they would fix Wayland support. The bug ticket for it has been open for ages.

That, and it's easier to make a unified experience. Windows handhelds are notoriously difficult to use due to ui issues. I believe windows handelds tend to have a designated launcher designed for the device input, but it can't integrate well since you are still stuck with explorer.exe

I think they recently passed a bill to make it illegal, but it won't be enforced till sometime next year.

I'm pretty sure the lead on clouds is the industry leader on cloud rendering. He has some great gdc talks and paper write-ups of his work.

I am astounded people managed to drive around Japan without gps. The signage is awful here. Even with gps it can be a struggle at times.

I really feel there would be a market for something like star citizen without all the realism stuff that gets in the way of the gameplay. I'm a backer, and when I can get to playing the game it's fun, but finding my way to the launch pad after every two years break when I'm trying to checkup on progress sucks.

Where are you where you have those options? Id love to be able to checkout tools at the library.

I'd like to try reading some fiction in the 40k universe and was wondering if anyone has some recommendations. There's a lot of books to decide between so I'm a bit lost. There's also the humble book bundle going on right and it looks like it might be a good deal, but I'm not familiar with any of the authors. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Edit: following the advice in the responses, I got the humble bundle and am starting out with spear of the emperor. Thanks for all the advice! Definitely want to give eisenhorn a read sometime if I can find an epub at a good price.

First time touching paints in ages, and first time ever doing a miniature. Been having a lot of fun painting the starter kit after work. I'd like to try shading when I finish them all up.

I was struggling a lot with the first layer since the paint wouldn't stick, so I got a Tamiya primer for the space Marines. I think I may have over sprayed a bit since there's some paint that was pooling in the pauldrons.

I've also had trouble getting to some of the tighter spots on the model, especially the 4 guys on one base (the book is in japanese so I don't know the names). Nevertheless having lots of fun! Looking forward to making a kill team or doing one of the board games since I don't have anyone to play with out here.
